Can you really Forgive the one you Hate?
TweetCan you really forgive the one you hate?
Can you really free yourself from the hatred?
Can you really experience the freedom that forgiveness brings?
To me,
it is NOT about we wish to forgive,
it is NOT about we hope to forgive,
it is NOT about we want to forgive,
it is NOT about we need to forgive,
but
it is about are you WILLING to forgive?......

Song Sharing Sunday - 89
TweetEvery Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?
One of my favourite song of all times! *Smile*
I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song - Jim Croce
Well, I know it's kind of late
I hope I didn't wake you
But what I got to say can't wait
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
Yeah, I know it's kind of strange
But every time I'm near you
I just run out of things to say
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
'Cause Every time the time was right
All the words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
Yeah, I know it's kind of late
I hope I didn't wake you
But there's something that I just got to say
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song

F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010
TweetAlright, when the big boys are on the road, the usual cars in Singapore would have to step aside. F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 is something you must take note of, if you are going to that area.
I think this year's F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 is very confusing. There are certain roads that are opened during peak hours and certain roads remain closed. *scratch head*
Anyway to me, I would rather avoid the entire area than to get myself stuck. There are also carparks around the area, which are going to be inaccessible to the public during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010. So forget about driving, Take Public Transport during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010.
The F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 started on the 18th of September 2010 and will be fully back to normal after 29th September 2010. Why so long? Well, the busy workers have to do the set up and the tear down of the seats and massive lightings, etc.
The actual event is from 24th to 26th September 2010. Get your ear plugged up and get going, if you are a crazy fan of those noisy 4-wheeled beauties.
No matter what, PLEASE take Public Transport!! There are taxis, buses and trains. Ain't that good enough?
On Saturday, Esplanade Drive and Nicoll Highway will be opened from 5 am to 9.30am. Many ERP gantries will be down during these times. Yippee!!! *laugh* Well, simply because the gantries might interfere with the video transmission that is going on during the race.
Oh motorists, for you OWN safety and others too, please do not to stop along the affected roads during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010, be cooperative to the traffic advisory signboards, obey the directions given by Traffic Police officers and the auxiliary that are on duty.
Hope you would not be too affected by the F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010.

Happy Birthday To Me 2010
Tweet
Happy Birthday To Me!!!
This year has to be the year of breaking records man!I spent 1 hour replying to all the well wishes on Facebook, sms, emails, MSN chats, Skype....
In total 151 Happy Birthday wishes! Incredible!
The wishes kept flowing in like an endless river!
As I'm typing this down, my phone is still going 'Kaching Kaching Kaching' (my sms ringtone)
This year is Extra special because I got really close to a group of very intelligent and humorous group! They are my close friends in my Internet Marketing journey. Emily's birthday is just 4 days away from mine, so they celebrated our birthdays together last Saturday.
Whenever we are together, you bet we cannot keep the volume down! *laugh* We are so noisy that we were once 'sternly warned' by the cafe. So now, our meetings are held at one of our houses, instead of the public.
We have so much to talk about that we usually ended up ending our meeting near or passed midnight! *jaws dropped*
And while I was napping
- I Love You, Baby
- Happy Birthday to You
- and our Wedding song "I Do (Cherish You)" by 98degree
First time ever he is so romantic!
Happy Birthday To Me!

Da Tong Mooncake - Tai Thong Cake Shop
TweetAnyway, we found it! Allan needed to go to Chinatown to settle some issues, so ERP charges and distance were no longer a consideration anymore. Yippee! This trip down to Da Tong Mooncake at Mosque Street was really rewarding. Now I understand why did my MIL liked Da Tong Mooncake so much. Simply because it was founded by a Cantonese chief. My MIL is a very traditional person. There are many Cantonese traditions especially during wedding and child birth, she would insist of following.

Now I am suspecting if Da Tong Mooncake shop was the pastry shop that my MIL and my FIL bought their wedding cakes from. *giggle* Since Da Tong Mooncake was not only famous for their Da Tong Mooncake, Tai Thong Cake Shop is also famous for their wedding cakes too! Hhhmmm.... might go and ask her this coming Sunday when we meet. *wink*
Da Tong Mooncake shop was truly an experience of me because I love 'old' stuff. I was captured by the red calligraphic signboard and the smell of freshly baked pastry. You can see the pastry chiefs hard at work through a glass wall. The feeling of 'we have nothing to hide and everything to be proud of' was coming through as I stood there and look at the price list of the Da Tong Mooncake. Don't expect to see grand display stands or shelfs. Da Tong Mooncake shop's outlook to me is like as if they are saying: 'we don't need fancy stuff to attract your eyes, our Da Tong Moocake is good enough to capture your heart'
Another thumbs up for me would be the price! My favourite double yolk with lotus seed paste cost $36, a price that we are more than willing to pay during the Mid Autumn Festival. We feel totally reaped off by Other pastry shops or even hotels when we see a box of mooncake selling at $40+, $50+ or even $60+!Da Tong Mooncake though traditional, but they also sells the new trend of snow skin mooncakes. We wanted to try their snow skin mooncakes too, but little did we know that it was so popular that you need to order by giving them a call first. Wow! So we gave it a miss this time.
I wonder if it was a practice or it was because my cutie Binbin was there, the lady boss threw in 2 'pig' pastries into the pastic carrier for free! Something that I remember was a 'must have' during Mid Autumn Festival when I was a little kid. But I prefer their traditional paper bag, so I asked permission to take one piece as a souvenir. *wink*
So what was my view on the taste? Well, I wonder if they used a different type of egg; 'cos the egg yolks were super huge! *laugh* I like to cut the mooncake into 8 pieces, a better bite size. For mooncakes which I have ate for the past 30 years, there are usually 3 cut-up pieces without the egg yolk even though it was a double yolk mooncake. But for Da Tong Mooncake, there is only 1 of the 8 cut-up pieces that did not get a share of the yolk. Wow!Da Tong Mooncake leans slightly towards the sweeter side for my taste buds. So to say that it is perfect, hmmm... I would not say so. Then again, different people have different savoury preference. Just like the saying goes "one shoe does not fit all". *wink*
Unbelievable! I actually wrote so much about my first experience with Da Tong Mooncake! If Only it was a paid post, I'll probably ask for double the money. *laugh*

Mid Autumn Festival
TweetBy the way, have you ever heard of Da-Tong Mooncake Specialist? Yesterday was the very first time I heard of it.
This year's Mid Autumn Festival is rather special for us. For the very first time, Allan wanted to try a particular brand of mooncake.
We often buy mooncakes wherever that is most convenient to us. Or even better, we have them as gifts, thus do not even need to buy. *giggle*
All thanks to his Mommy's recommendation and direction. We got lost while finding the Da-Tong Mooncake Specialist shop in Chinatown yesterday! *laugh*Nahhh....not really lost. Who can get lost in tiny Singapore anyway..... But based on the directions she gave, we could not find the infamous Da-Tong Mooncake Specialist.
We started our search at 6pm+ and by the time we finally found it after circling round the small streets in Chinatown, it was closed for the day. *faint*
Now we are considering if we should head down to Chinatown again just for that box of mooncake for this year's Mid Autumn Festival. The moment we think of the charges for the ERP and the parking, our motivation level dropped.
Anyway, have any of you tried this brand before? If yes, what's your comments?
When we were there I also took the opportunity to take a short video of the decorations for this year's Mid Autumn Festival. Below is the day time view.
Night view is nicer....To watch the night time view, go over to my parenting blog, blog post titled - Mid Autumn Festival.
