Captivating Title Not Necessary Great Read

Yes, undoubtedly that there are many unexplainable incidents that happen to people all over the world. Many have tried to use scientific terminology to explain and some just remain as a mystery.

Today, I saw an article that spoke of a man being able to 'move rain to somewhere else'. He said its a gift from God.

I do not doubt that every human himself or herself is already a gift from God, needless to say the other stuff that comes as a package to the flesh and bones.

So curiosity got the better of me and I read on. The more I read, the more I felt that it was not as great as the title have said.

"Pak Lah said he had also studied related sciences on the weather and the earth movements and that 70% of his weather predictions were accurate."

So he studied related sciences on the weather

And it was not 100% accurate after being called to more than 1,000 events to perform the 'bring-good-weather' task.

If it is truly a gift, then it would be 100% accurate and that would come with Zero knowledge of weather science isn't?

Oh well, titles are always captivating in order to grab the reader's attention, but its the details that matters.

Just like the usual saying 'Never Judge a Book By its Cover' and goes the same for people. Never Judge a Person on First Hand Shake...

Valentine's Day Dinner

I think the ONLY Romantic Valentine's Day Dinner was our very first.
Thereafter, its just another day.

This year is rather sweet for me.
Nothing big.
But that he remembered its Valentine's Day and with all his cheekiness asked me out for a sizzling hot dinner (with two very noisy and big light bulb to replace the candles of course -  Kids!).

Its been years.
In fact, its been so long that I cannot even remember when was the last time we had dinner at a restaurant on Valentine's Day.
His excuse OR reason is always the same: "Valentine's Day is celebrated by people who does not treat every day as Valentine's Day. When you love someone, EVERYDAY is Valentine's Day. So why do you want to get 'slaughtered' by the expensive set meals prepared for this day and join the crowd where reservations is a must in order to get a good seat?"

I was pleasantly surprised when he popped out the question 2 days ago in front of a restaurant that is not popular for couples on Valentine's Day, "Shall we eat here on Monday?"
"Huh? Why Monday?" The blur me was still searching for a clue. I wasn't faking ok! I REALLY FORGOT about Monday being Valentine's Day.

"Valentine's Day mah!" he smiled cheekily.

Its simple things like these that make me feel loved.
And yes, being his wife for 11years does make me feel like spending Valentine's Day every single day.

Ren Ri 人日 - 7th Day of Chinese Lunar New Year

Yesterday was the 7th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, it is also known as 人日，or better known as Everyone's Birthday.
Most people would choose to celebrate this day with Yu Sheng.

Since the kids are not into Yu Sheng, Allan thought it would be more appropriate to buy a mini-cookies-&-cream-cake and sing a Birthday song for ourselves. *laugh*

Every year I would go to this particular temple to snap down each Chinese Horoscope's predictions for that particular year. For 4 years now, the Chinese Horoscope Master who did the analysis have been pretty accurate. I have been sharing them in post like this 'Dog Luck in 2010 by Year of Birth'. What I like best is the monthly predictions laid out by him. (see 'Dog Luck in 2010 for each month' post). It helps me to decide which months to stay in low profile and which months to go all out to achieve my respective goals.

It was a surprise to me that this year, they have changed the Chinese Horoscope Master. *pout* He does not have the predictions breakdown by the month, unlike the previous Master. *double pout* I am taking his predictions with a pinch of salt. Let's watch and see how it ends this year to determine the 'power of accuracy' of this replacement master....
