A friend of mine sent me this and though I giggled throughout the whole thing, there are a lot of hard truth in it.
ENJOY!
But there is !
And when you marry the wrong one, you are FINISHED.
When things don't go your way, you either get bitter or better. What's your choice?
A friend of mine sent me this and though I giggled throughout the whole thing, there are a lot of hard truth in it.
ENJOY!
Oh dear, I do not know why, but when the results were announced, I went "YES!" so loudly.
Though Casey Abrams was saved by the Judges few weeks back when he was 'supposed to leave' then, its still obvious that his style of performance is inferior to the rest, especially when James Durbin put up such a memorable beginning to the song 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow' on Thursday night.
I love the Acappella part only; reminded me of Adam Lambert. But the moment he started his 'rocking' thing, I was disappointed.
So for 'overall' performance, I think the best was Scotty McCreery, singing 'You've Got A Friend'. Sad to say, America did not like it and Scotty McCreery ended up bottom two. So close to leaving the competition.
I received this message from one of my Facebook friend. Many are aware of this and others have changed this setting more than a year ago. But, there are still plenty out there who are oblivious to this, I was one of them, are you?
This song kept ringing in my head after hearing it for the first time on America Idol, can't help myself but to share it here...
I must say I was happy with the result last night.
Yes, his cute face definitely caught my eye when I first saw him at the audition, but after so many rounds, I find him very cheesy when he sings. In fact, he is the ONLY contestant in this season that has the capability of making me lift my butt off the sofa when he's singing.
I'm sorry Stefano, still a cute guy to look at for sure! *smile*
Battle of the six remained in American Idol next week:
The beard guy - Casey Abrams
The growl queen - Haley Reinhart
The soulful man - Jacob Lusk
The heavy metal fanatic - James Durbin
The sweetie pie - Lauren Alaina
and
The low-pitch vocalist - Scotty McCreery
A few of my friends, who have difficulty with Chinese, asked me to do an English version of the Step by Step routine for my previous post 'How to Kill Insomnia and Slim Down at the same time?'
Ok, so here's the Step by Step to a life of killing your insomia, slimming down that waistline, hips and thighs AND a BETTER BOWEL SYSTEM.
Do the following steps BEFORE GOING TO BED for a good night rest.
Step 1: Lie flat on your back
Step 2: Place your legs slightly apart
Step 3: For warm up, do the fingers and toes squeeze exercise as shown in the video. Do it for 30 times. (If you realise there is a significant difference in difficulty in doing the exercise between your left and your right toes, then bring your legs closer to each other and the difference between the two sides will decrease.)
Step 4: Place your legs apart with your toes pointing outwards. (To know how far apart your legs should be, use your shoulders as a guide. The outward-pointing-toes should be the width of your shoulders.)
Step 5: Bend your toes and ankles towards yourself.
Step 6: Maintaining that position, keeping your legs straightened, taking a deep breath as you lift up your legs to 30cm above ground and HOLD them there. (Note: Lift your legs and take that deep breath AT THE SAME TIME)
Step 7: Let your legs stay in the air for 10 counts while holding your breath.
Step 8: Drop your legs. (my favourite part *giggle*)
Step 9: Slowly breath out.
Step 10: Stay in that relax position for 2mins. Breathing normally.
and Good Night. *yawn*
Do the following steps BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR BED in the morning to prevent constipation:
Step 1: Place your legs slightly apart.
Step 2: Bring your toes in towards each other with your big toes pressing against one another side by side. As shown in the video.
Step 3: Maintaining the same position, take a very deep breath.
Step 4: (here's the most challenging part, to me) While releasing your breath, lift up your legs to 30cm above the ground. (Note: Lift your legs and release that deep breath AT THE SAME TIME)
Step 5: Let your legs stay in the air for 10 counts.
Step 6: Drop your legs. (Yeah!)
Step 7: Stay in that relax position for 2mins. Breathing normally.
Step 8: Keeping your arms straight, put your hands above your head. As shown in the video.
Step 9: Maintaining that position, roll your body over till you are facing down and lying on your tummy.
Step 10: With your knee 'stuck' to the ground and your head down, slowly use your hands to push your body backwards, towards your legs till you reach a position whereby your arms and back is straightened. Hold it there for one second.
Step 11: Still maintaining your head down, slowly slide your hands back till your elbow is bent 90degrees.
Step 12: In that position, push your body further backwards till your bum sits on your legs.
Step 13: Slowly slide your hands back till your elbow is bent. Push your body upwards.
Step 14: Put your hands on your laps to further push your body fully up with your back 90degrees to the ground. Like a Japanese style sitting position.
Step 15: Lift up one leg with your knee bent, then use that leg to push your whole body up to a standing position.
and you are ready to start your day! *Grin*
As promised in my previous post 'How To Slim Down While Lying Down?', here's the video which teaches how to solve your insomnia and helps your to slim down your thigh, hips and waist, while lying on your back all at the same time!
I am still trying it out and measuring the result of it. But as compared to my previous post on 'How To Slim Down While Lying Down?', I think this is much more difficult and complicated...
Many years ago, my sis showed me a Japanese video which showed how to slim down your thighs and waist while lying down.
It worked for me.
But when I try to find that video again, I could not and my sis cannot remember either.
It was a pity.
Whenever I know of something good and works and yet I could not share with others, I feel lousy inside.
Hhhmmm.... That's me.
Anyway it worked something like that:
Whenever I lie down with my boys to accompany them to bed. I would put my legs side by side, straightened, with the big toes really close to each other. In the video, it was suggested that a rubber band should be used to tie the two big toes together.
Soon, you will feel the strain on your calf and your thigh.
Maybe a minute later or so, you will feel your lower tummy muscle contracting.
Throughout the 10mins exercise, your breathing should be normal, even though there will be some moments you really wish to hold your breath because your muscles are feeling the strain.
Just 10mins every night, 1 week later, I saw smaller thighs and smaller waist. Well, it worked for me, not sure if the magic will work for you. I love it because its killing three birds with one stone. I get to be with my kids before they enter dreamland, I could rest my aching back after a long day and I can slim down! *muack*
BUT RECENTLY I FOUND ANOTHER VIDEO, which also teaches you how to slim down while lying down AND at the same time kill your insomia.... (to be continued)
This is definitely not in my favourite MJ song list, then again, remembering that tonight at 7.15pm, I will be able to watch his last performance on stage for 'This Is It' concert, I must honour him with this song...
As much as I love him, his voice and his style, America thinks otherwise. Maybe his too-nice-guy image doesn't capture too much attention, I think...
Anyhow, all the best Paul McDonald!
s
Though I like James Durbin, I did not enjoy his performance yesterday. I am not one who knows how to appreciated Heavy Metal. I'm sorry.
Surprisingly, two of my least-liked contestants actually kept me on my seat when they sang, Jacob Lusk and Scotty Mccreery.
Who love McDonalds Filet-O-Fish?
ME!!!
Many things have happened to me and my friends over the last one year.
Its an experience that showed me (again) the faces of life and what life can offer.
People being motivated by all sorts of mixed values.
Some cannot even see clearly the state they are in.
It saddens my heart (again) that human can be so vulnerable to the lust that this world has, in the expense of others.
In this tsunami, the current was strong and the damage was huge.
Even the best swimmer could not get near shore.
Some have drown, others are still struggling with the facts and few took action and continued to swim towards land.
I no longer ask 'Why', rather I just want to get on with my life.
Then came along angels who threw in the life buoy.
The funny thing is, there are those who still refused to be assisted.
This help, though little, would still help them to get to the beach, but they choose to wait for the boat to come.
One of my friend, G.K.B., shared with me a very wise phrase
Tuesday is IKEA day for us ever since we knew that my boys' favourite IKEA meatballs were sold at a discounted price every Tuesday till 31st July 2011.
10 IKEA meatballs with its creamy sauce, potato and jam, which used to cost $6.50, is at $4 now on Tuesdays only.
For two consecutive weeks, we had been there on Tuesday. The kids had great time eating and playing in Smaland, which I call 'my 1hour babysitter'. While I leave the kids there, Allan and I can have a 60mins couple time chatting while sitting on IKEA's nice sofa. *smile* Thereafter, its back to school for my elder's child Taekwondo lessons. Timing is simply perfect! *muack*

Its Yummy time again!
Sending special thanks to my lobang queen sis for this. *hugs*
For the next three days, starting tomorrow, Swensens is having a 1 for 1 promotion for their Breaded Barrumundi.
Had never tried their Breaded Barrumundi before, I am always eating their piping hot baked rice. Think this would be a good opportunity to try something else on the menu for late lunch or dinner.
Take note of the time, its only valid from 2.30pm to 10.15pm, on 11th, 12th and 13th April.
I am totally exhausted from the running here and there today because of 'Qing Ming'. With the scorching sun above my head all the time and the extreme smokey environment and walking around with a sweaty body ALL THE TIME, it does worn out any lively soul. In memory of all those who have passed on, here's sharing THEmost popular song during a funeral procession....
No doubt she has the best vocals in American Idol Season 10.
No doubt she gives goose bumps to her listeners whenever she sings ballads.
But I think America did not give her enough votes to let her stay is because of her lack of showmanship.
I saw lots of angry comments all over the internet about how wrong it was for her to leave the competition at this stage. Then again, I believe with her talent and amazing voice, producers will start signing her up even though she lost the chance of getting crowned American Idol season 10.
In celebration of her great singing, here's some of my favourite performances from her and "All By Myself" (to me) was her best of best.
Good Luck Pia!
Today is not as exciting as I wish it could be.
James Durbin suddenly gone slow. I must say, I didn't quite like it. I can't help but compare him with Adam Lambert. The latter can really go on an up tempo and real slow like his 'Mad World' performance. So for James, it was a little disappointing for me.
Another one who made me feel really awkward watching was Pia Toscano with her Tina Turner song. Hey! Tina is such an amazing performer, especially when she sang that song 'River Deep Mountain High'. She was rocking the entire place. But Pia HARDLY MOVED HER HIPS!!!
Its so good to listen to her voice when she sang it, but to watch her perform, hhhmmmm... I gave her two thumbs down. I wonder if she is going to go home tomorrow.
So if I really want to squeeze out my favourite performance?
I'll go for Paul McDonald, even though I think it was a wrong song choice....
A song that never fails to set the mood right when its so late in the night...
Last week because the judges used the wild card to save Casey Abrams, this week, two contestants will go home. Well, Casey gained the liking of the audience and was safe from being in the bottom 3.
So who?
I was shocked to see one of my favourite, Paul McDonald in the bottom 3 this week. *pout* But what a big relief when he was sent back to the coauch! *phew*
Goodbye was hence said to Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo.
Well, I can't say that they deserve to go, but that the rest should stay in the competition...
So good luck girls!
And my favourite performance of the night on this week's American Idol Season 10 has to be from the Fiery James Durbin:
