Today, we went for our 1st HDB appointment. *clap clap clap*
According to my hubby, who is in the property line, there are ONLY 3 HDB officers who are really smiley and professional. The rest looked like they had a bad day (everyday) *giggle* He said we were so lucky to have one of the most cheerful HDB officers among the three.
So while doing all the paperwork and listening to all the 'serious' stuff, everyone was all smiles because the officer himself was smiling all the way. Nice!
Now that the date of the handover has been confirmed, I am so excited, almost jumping out of my skin, I can start to GET even MORE THINGS DONE! Things that can actually wait for a few more days later or even weeks later, but I just want to do it NOW! *laugh*
- Cancelled all Giro Payments at the Bank
- Cleared Conservancy Charges at the Town Council
- Called movers to find out pricing and available dates
- Called up the owner of our temporary accommodation to confirm the date of moving in
- Called Singtel to find out the charges for installation of the internet access point, etc
Now its just back to more packing and dismantling....
Finally, the clearing of the storeroom is completed.
All that needs to be thrown, are gone.
Others that need to be dismantled and packed, are stacked.
The rest are stuffed nicely into boxes and boxes.
Finally! I meet the wall behind the bookshelf again! "Hi!"
*laugh*
Look at how terrible the condition is?!
The paint has faded so badly and
the brick paint wall had such deep cracks.
Hhhmmm....
That's the result of lack of maintenance after 32 years.
Next spot?
KITCHEN!!!
*snigger*
