YouTube Upload Slow - Mystery SOLVED!

Finally!!! I found out WHY my videos upload duration took so long and How to Solve it!!!

If you are a follower of my blogs, especially my parenting blog : All About Your Child, its easy to know that I love to flim the kiddos in action and upload them on YouTube.

Have been doing that for years now.
But for the past months, uploading the videos taken from my camera phone seemed to take ages!

The worst experience I had was uploading a 3 mins long file for 7hours!!!!
And at the end of the 7 hours, guess what did it say?!
"Upload Error."

*Super Faint!*

It was so unnerving that I decided to stop uploading videos for months!

Until today.....

Yes,
TODAY!!!
I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION!

As usual.... my video was uploading at Snail Speed...
I decided to scroll down and look for 'help' anywhere...
but before I could reach the bottom, I read this SUPER LINE:
"Upload problems? Try the basic uploader (works on older computers and web browsers)."

And so I clicked on 'basic uploader'.
Ta-Daa!
And the uploading speed was back to good-old-days!
*wink*

Even though its a tight slap on my face to remind me that my computer is in the 'older computers' category, its definitely time for an upgrade, but hey, at least I can still upload my videos on YouTube.
*tongue in cheek*

Did you face this problem too?
Hope this helps....

Recipe for Baked Cheese Potato

My humble hubby was really shy about sharing his self-invented recipe for the Baked Cheese Potato yesterday. Whenever he likes to eat something very much, he would try to think of the possible ingredients that would go into that dish and then he will start experimenting it in the kitchen; so that he can save money from eating at the restaurants. So far, no wastage. *wink* I think he inherited this from his mom. Of 'cos, his mom culinary talent is 100 times more superior. *giggle*

To him, his Baked Cheese Potato is a 'Just-Good-Enough' dish for our taste buds, that's why I didn't put the recipe down in my previous post. He thinks that its not up to the standard of what restaurants serve.

After yesterday's post, Blessed Mum asked for the recipe and a couple of emails asking the same question too, I sought permission from my man and finally he nodded shyly.

Boil the Potato for about 35-45min until its soft. (potato must be fully submerged in the water)
Use a fork to poke into the potato to test.
If the fork slides out of the potato effortlessly, then its ready.
Peel off the skin. (Careful, its really hot. I know, 'cos I helped in this part too)
Crush the potato with a fork.
Use a little olive oil to spread on the base and the sides of oven-able bowl.
Spread the crushed potato around the bowl.
Sprinkle some salt.
Put a few slices of butter on the potato.
Spread the Shredded Mozzarella Cheese all over the top.
(We do not have an oven, so we use our SnackMaker.)
We put the oven-able bowl into our SnackMaker for 5-6mins, high heat.
Take it out to see if you are satisfied with the 'look' of your Baked Cheese Potato.
Some like it more 'Brown Looking'.
If you fall into this group, then put the bowl in for another 4 more minutes.

Ta-Daa.... and its done!
*wink*

Yesterday we forgot to buy bacon, which we usually do.

Heat the bacon on the wok/pan till crispy (all fats on the bacon gone).
Then use a kitchen scissors to cut the strip of bacon into bits.
Sprinkle on top of the Baked Cheese Potato for the ultimate biting sensation.

Life Will Never Be the Same Again

Indeed that is true for me. Life will NEVER be the same again.

The biggest change is not only what goes on in my mind but what goes on in my life. Yesterday, a really 'old' reader sent me an email asking how did I feel after the 4th day. She can't wait for my 'slow' updates over here, she was really eager to know... *giggle*
Thank you for your enthusiasm, JJ! *huge hugs*

And this was my reply:

*giggle* Thank you girl for this email. I'm overjoyed that my excitement could pass through the monitor screen to reach you.....*giggle*

There is a HUGE change in my life ever since the first day of Unleash the Power Within (UPW) and I am loving every moment of my life now.

From someone with a bullshit belief that I am not worthy to be happy, to someone who can find every reason to smile and laugh, my family has seen the significant change in me. On top of that, from a non-vege-cum-non-fruit eater to abstaining from meat (except seafood) WILLINGLY (for a week now), completely on fresh vege and fruit diet; I breathe better, think better, feel better, its just OUTSTANDING! Seriously, I DON'T think I'll ever touch meat again.....

Not only that, I have committed myself in doing breathing exercises and physical exercises. UPW is not just a motivation seminar. In fact its NOT. It is a seminar like a Gigantic Mirror. You learn about your TRUE inner self. You learn what triggers you to move on in life and what holds you back from achieving whatever you want; be it happiness, better relationship, financially.... Its a all rounded seminar about YOUR LIFE, which includes your health too.

Before UPW, I was hospitalised for 13 days (5+7, in a single month) with still 'unknown' causes. My liver almost failed and the pain needed morphine to stop (as you'd already know). Now, I no longer have that pain anymore, my body is MY doctor, my healthy diet is MY medication. I am completely way over the moon!

Everyday new opportunities are showing up at my door, nahhh... not literally, but you know what I mean right? *wink*

Last year, I went for Tony's Unlimited Power and my 7 years of fear in driving was eliminated in that few hours. Now, all it took was 4 days and my LIFE is completely different now. Better and Happier.... so much more to look forward to everyday, so many more reasons to sleep late and wake up early.... 'cos life is just too exciting for me now.

I am super grateful to Tony. Words can never describe...

Thank you girl once again for being such a faithful reader. Thank you.

My Only Motivation...

My ticket for the long awaited Anthony Robbins Seminar has finally reached my hands.

Some of you have asked, "What's keeping you so strong throughout this week?"

Its this!

Going to his seminar is THE reason why I refused to fall sick. That's some pretty strong mind power eh? *giggle*

I have been telling myself. I MUST STAY HEALTHY, so that I can GO to his seminar. One year ago, his seminar took away my fear in driving. Imagine, if I didn't go for it last year. I wouldn't have been able to drive my boys to the polyclinic.

Carrying them all the way there would be out of the question; Or worse, wasting money by paying an absurd amount to the taxi driver just for a 5mins drive? Sorry, ever since the price of the taxi fares changed 3 years ago, I have self-banned myself from taking taxi.

So, this man means a lot to me. I have fears I had long wished to get rid off. Hence, I NEED, I MUST, I HAVE TO go.... next week....

The doctors said the 'madness' will end in 7 days. But LOOK AT THE SITUATION NOW! Today IS the 7th day and I can hardly see silver linings.....

Decision has been Made

2 days, I think its a good enough period to gather your votes.
So everyone of you supported Allan eh? *wink*

Since that's the case, most likely next week, I'll go get the Second Opinion, 'cos Allan is hardly free on weekends anyway.

Thank you, to all 24 of you who have took 1min of your time to vote. (number of voters as at 4.47pm) *Muack*

Christmas in Singapore

This is for Erin. My little inquisitive reader...*laugh* (Hey but it doesn't mean YOU can't read it!)I love questions, so keep them coming (I'm not sick of saying this yet)!!!

Every year, our tourist shopping belt : Orchard Road will be beautifully decorated. But so sorry, I can't show you the 'real beauty' cos' the videos I found on YouTube, errrmmm didn't meet my expectation, I can be quite a perfectionist at times. But here's the glimpse of it, if you are interested...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfGVKtumGz8

This year's theme is "A Sweet Christmas in Singapore". If you want to find out the REASON behind this year's theme...go read here (I know how curious you can get) *laugh*

Christmas is more fun when I was younger, when I'm still attending church like it was my home. One month before Christmas Day, the church choir will be practicing a musical drama.

Since I was one of the 'singers', I'll be so busy the moment school holiday starts. The performance is usually on the eve and the day itself. There were much more presents to receive and buy back then, cos' there were so many 'brothers and sisters' in church.

Before I'm married, only my family exchanges presents. All my other friends in school don't do that with their family, because they believe that its a season for the Christians only.

Over time, things changed. Now even non-Christian families celebrate Christmas by exchanging presents and feasting on turkeys and log cakes.

Like my in-laws, they used to be strong believers that Christmas is STRICTLY for Christians only, but after seeing how happy their grandchildren were when they receive presents (other than on their birthdays), now they buy gifts for them on this occasion too. As for adults, do we exchange presents? Nah...

Parties big and small are everywhere on this multi-racial little island. You see people wearing Christmas hats, holding illumine sticks and wearing those battery-operated blink-blink pins on their shirts.

Because Singapore doesn't snow, so snow sprays are used to give it that extra 'touch'. Guess what? I used to sell them too! Its pretty profitable. *wink*

At the strike of 12 on Christmas Eve, the entire stretch of Orchard road become a crazy sight. Everyone's spraying from the cans as if they were free!!! That was the moment when my sale of snow sprays reach the PEAK! *laugh*

Other than the mess on human, cars and the streets, serious problems occurred as a result during such a commotion. hmmm.... I think I'll better not give any example here (may get myself into trouble), if you want to know, email me.

The insanity subsides at around 2am. Leaving the whole stretch of the tourist shopping belt wet and slippery, together with confetti and litters on the floor. Its really messy when the fun is over. At about 4am, the cleaning truck will be there to clear up the place and in less than 2 hours, the entire place will be back to how it was before!

Yup! That's how we spend Christmas over here on our little island we call Singapore... *smile*
