Happy Birthday B.L.!

This year is the very first time we had a belated birthday celebration for B.L., lady in pink. *smile*
But just like every of our other gatherings, we had a great time doing 'catch-ups' today.

Happy Birthday B.L.!

My Birthday Celebration 2011

Now who said that birthday celebrations are meant for the kids?
I had the best birthday celebration (yet) this year!

For the very first time, it was celebrated overseas!
It has been a long time since my family, my bride-to-be sister, my hubby and my two boys had a day trip together; and overseas? First time definitely! I am so thankful that my birthday fell on a Saturday this year, or else my sister would not be able to join in already. *hugs*
What makes it even more special is a good friend, who hardly comes back to Singapore, came back on my birthday month! *super hugs*
Another surprise came when an old friend whom I have known for 23 years gave me a special birthday treat! Yum! *triple hugs*

In my family, birthdays celebrations starts at midnight, the very first minute of the day, with cake cutting 'ceremony'. *wink*

The wordings were chosen by my elder son. Made me feel like Mother's Day celebration cum Birthday Celebration. *Grin*

We set off to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, after my boys' morning swimming lesson. I am impressed by their stamina that day.

I dare say I am addicted to having day trips in JB.
Things are so much more worthwhile for us Singaporeans.
I am making a conscious effort Not to say 'Things are So Cheap in Malaysia' anymore, ever since a close Malaysian friend of mine 'berated' me (in a soft way), "The price of things in Malaysia has never rose so much, it only started when more and more Singaporeans started going there and say "So Cheap! So Cheap!"..."
Ooops! High possibility I think.

Its not only worthwhile in terms of price, but I love the genuine smiles whenever I am served and not forgetting the good food too. The same restaurant in Singapore and in Malaysia actually had different standards.
A little disappointing for Singapore.
Somehow I feel that the chefs in Malaysia seemed to cook from their heart, while the chefs in Singapore probably cook because they needed the salary.

Take this restaurant for an example: Wong Kok Char Chan Teng
All the food served onto our table were REALLY nice! Every one of them.
Of course, the best part is.... I get a HUMONGOUS GLASS of Milk Tea for FREE, because it was my Birthday!

ITS BIGGER THAN MY ELDER SON'S HEAD!!!

Oh please!
Its just for photo-taking purposes.
No way are we going to drink directly from THAT!
We prefered to drink from the NORMAL PLASTIC GLASSES provided.

Thank you Dearie for the 'hard' work serving us. *giggle*

The restaurant even played the 'Happy Birthday Song' for me, while the waiter walked towards me securing the GIGANTIC GLASS with two hands!

There were so many people celebrating their birthdays that day. During our 1hour plus dining experience, the Birthday song was played 6 times, including mine! *wink*

Here are the conditions:
  • Minimum spending RM30
  • Must present IC as proof (yes, they accept Singapore IC too! *phew*)
  • Valid through 3 days before and after Birthday

Will do a 'proper' blog post on my review of Wong Kok Char Chan Teng restaurant in a separate post. There are just too much Good things to say about them. *Grin*

Next,
its Shopping time!
We went City Square for the second time this year, after the KTM train ride in May 2011, before the Tanjong Pagar KTM train station closed. The children bought more Angry Birds and my younger one bought his first collection of Plants vs Zombies plush toy! *faint*
Yes, they bought with their own money!
And I bought more pinky rings again this time!

We had been exploring different shopping malls, at different places, on each of our visit to Johor Bahru, over the past 3 months. This time, we went to Tesco at Seri Alam. Bought lots of Groceries, as usual... *Thumbs Up*

If you ever wonder how to pass time, stay happy! *laugh*
'Cos happy times pass soooooooooooooooo fast!

With that comes Yummy Time!

We are trying out yet another new seafood restaurant. So far we have gone to two, first was Restoran Todak. I have yet to blog about the second seafood restaurant, which belonged to my friend's friend.
Now, this is the third seafood restaurant we have visited in Johor Bahru! One that is highly recommended in forums too:
Restoran Tian Lai

There are so much to write about Restoran Tian Lai too!
Don't think I want to cramp everything here and make this birthday post a million-word long post. *laugh*
So will do a separate post again for this.

Ok ok, I know I know, lots of yet-to-blog posts lining up.
There are already 8 drafts on the list now...
Will get it done....
in time to come...
*fingers crossed*
Still trying to juggle time with everything on hand and 'forcing myself' to have 2 hours of entertainment time each day or else I will go bonkers!

After dinner we headed home without any issue.
If you are thinking what kind of issue there could be, well, we were lost on our very first drive in to Johor Bahru and we were lost in a totally pitch dark place. Check out this blog post "Anniventure" if you want to know how scary it was.
*Thumbs Up* to Hubby's great driving skills again.

Before I end this birthday post, it is only right that I thank my present-givers by 'showing off' my presents. *Grin*

Presents received this year:
From my friend in Australia

From Dearie

From Dearie

From my closest group of girlfriends in Secondary School

From Keatkeat and Dearie

From Philips

From Dearie

From my dearest friend, whom I have known for 21years
From Myself! *laugh*

Ren Ri 人日 - 7th Day of Chinese Lunar New Year

Yesterday was the 7th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, it is also known as 人日,or better known as Everyone's Birthday.
Most people would choose to celebrate this day with Yu Sheng.

Since the kids are not into Yu Sheng, Allan thought it would be more appropriate to buy a mini-cookies-&-cream-cake and sing a Birthday song for ourselves. *laugh*

So the song went... "Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To Everyone, Happy Birthday To You."

Happy Belated Ren Ri to Everyone!

Happy Advance Birthday Juliana!

Always love spending time with my closest group of friends. Today, we went to The Mussel Guys Restaurant at Vivo City to celebrate Juliana's birthday.

First time to the restaurant and I loved it like crazy!
The oysters were so fresh!
The baked cheese mussels were yummlicious!
The dessert was addictive!
and my Entree was simply superb!
Then again, salivating food always come with a price.
Four of us choke up a bill of $113.00.
*eyes widened*

Thereafter, we went on to Pacific Coffee Company, had a great time chatting under the spectacular display of fireworks from Universal Studios at Sentosa. Its like a celebration of our 20 years of friendship. *Huge Grin*

Tonight is truly a wonderful gathering.... *smile*

Happy Advanced Birthday Ju! *smile*

Happy Birthday To Me 2010

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

This year has to be the year of breaking records man!
I spent 1 hour replying to all the well wishes on Facebook, sms, emails, MSN chats, Skype....
In total 151 Happy Birthday wishes! Incredible!
The wishes kept flowing in like an endless river!
As I'm typing this down, my phone is still going 'Kaching Kaching Kaching' (my sms ringtone)
Never felt so loved in my life before!

Thank you everyone!!!

On Birthday eve, I had my usual gathering with my closest female group. Without fail we would meet up at every birthday of ours. We are so close we had a testimony of our telepathy yesterday, just look at the Colour of our Tops!

NONE OF US PLANNED for it, yet ALL OF US WORE BLACK AT THE SAME TIME! *laugh*
Simply Amazing! The only let down was our photo was blur and we didn't notice when the manager of the restaurant passed it back to us. *sigh*

This year is Extra special because I got really close to a group of very intelligent and humorous group! They are my close friends in my Internet Marketing journey. Emily's birthday is just 4 days away from mine, so they celebrated our birthdays together last Saturday.

Whenever we are together, you bet we cannot keep the volume down! *laugh* We are so noisy that we were once 'sternly warned' by the cafe. So now, our meetings are held at one of our houses, instead of the public.

We have so much to talk about that we usually ended up ending our meeting near or passed midnight! *jaws dropped*
So what happened at home?

I had my usual cake cutting ceremony at 12 midnight with my wonderful 4 family members. At night, the 5 of us head down to be guinea pigs at Sakura. Check out the fun we had over at my Parenting Blog: "All About Your Child"

My Dearie gave me 33 kisses at one go to celebrate my 33 years of amazing journey on earth...

And while I was napping accidentally he posted 3 Videos on my Facebook wall!!!

  1. I Love You, Baby
  2. Happy Birthday to You
  3. and our Wedding song "I Do (Cherish You)" by 98degree

First time ever he is so romantic!

I'm definitely in luck to have agreed to marry him!
My man is different now.
Yippee!!!

2010 is Definitely My Most Amazing Birthday Yet~!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Today is my Sis's______th birthday. Don't think she want me to reveal her age here.... *wink*
Other than our special relationship, I think her birth date is one of the easiest to remember.
8th of July.
and when you write it down its 7-8-Year
so when I was really young, I only need to remember 7, 8
yes, I do agree that when I was a kiddo, I did muddle up, thinking that her birthday was on August the 7th. *laugh*

Alright, spotlight back on her now.
Happy Birthday Sis! *hugs*

please don't ask me to translate what was said at the end. *laugh* Its a cat language and snakes can't understand. *giggle*

Happy Birthday girl!

Pre-Birthday Celebration

My girl gang gave me an early birthday celebration yesterday at Seoul Gardens.

I had one of THE BEST moments with the girls yesterday, partly because we finally get to see Peiling (back left) after almost a year.

She has been busy ever since she became a mommy a year ago. So there were lots of catching up among the five of us.

Thank you Peiling for 'giving me face'. *wink*

Baolian (beside me) gave us an after-meal treat at TCC.

It was towards the END of that hour+ of chatting, on the big comfortable sofa, that I received a huge surprise, which elevated my mood even higher:

I won a cake, Ooops! its a SLICE of cake through TCC's scratch and win.

I have not won anything through such lucky draw for more than 2 decades now!!!

And this would not have been possible if it wasn't Baolian (Beside me) who paid for the after-meal treat at TCC and handed me the lucky draw card.

And for the birthday girl (Me!), Baolian gave me an extra treat to savour the goodness of Devil Chocolate Cake. Oooooooohhhh Yum! Thank you Baolian.

I claimed my prize and chose a pumpkin cheese cake for Allan; to thank him for taking care of the boys while I had a smashing great time with the girls. *wink*

And these were the presents from my four 19-year long friends.
Thank you girls!

**Ling, you mentioned in my previous post about not seeing my face with the new hairdo, so here it is to satisfy your curiosity. But not 'accurate' though, cos I pinned it up. In case you can't recognise me, I'm the EVERLAST girl. *giggle*

Happy Birthday Juliana!

Its the 4 of us again! Xiuyan's birth date and Juliana's are very close, which also explains why these 2 Capricorns have so much in common. Juliana sits right in the center with her beautiful long hair and dress.

(This happened on 13th January, but didn't want to post it up till now ~ cos' TODAY is her 'Actual' Day.)

We went to Changing Appetite at Marina Square for a sumptuous dinner, followed by another sip-and-chat session in Dome.

Its so amazing to have friends this close (at heart) for more than 18years. There is nothing we can't talk about. Allan even asked, "You girls just met 2 weeks ago, won't there be less / no topics to talk about?" Oh boy, that's probably in a 'men's world'. *eyes rolled*

Girls Will Never Run Out of Topics!!!!

We chatted, laughed, whispered, giggled as we form new memories in our head and our hearts to last forever....

Happy Birthday Juliana! May your BIG wish come true this year! *wink*

Happy Birthday Xiuyan!

Today is my 18-year-long friend, Xiuyan's Birthday. We celebrated it yesterday at MOF : Ministry of Food. They serve Japanese Cuisine. Yeah! My favourite!

We had a fantastic time updating each other, as much as mentioning other secondary school classmates whom we met separately over the past few months. From A-Z, there is nothing the four of us can't talk about, except for secrets, I guess. Anyway, secrets were never meant to be talk-about.... *wink*

So this is the photo of my closest secondary school friends cum Chinese Dance clique. Top left is the pretty birthday girl, or rather I should say, the pretty mommmy of two lovely daughters.... *Smile*

Happy Birthday Xiuyan!
