Slimmer Waist, Happier Me!

I love to eat.
My friends know that.
Someone once said: "Buffet? Bring Angeline along, she'll make every cent worth it!"
*laugh*

Yet,
it comes with a price,
that weighs heavily on my waist, hip and thigh.

So heavy that I was forced to throw away some of my favourite jeans.
Heart Pain!
*sigh*
I should have kept all of them, if I knew this day would come.

If you are looking forward to see a GINORMOUS change in my waist,
I'm sorry,
you will be disappointed.
My change is NOT impressive,
but its good enough for me.

Slimming down is not a destination, its a continuation.

Its a lifestyle
Its a mindset
Its a choice

I managed to get a few centimeters off my waist over 3 months because of 6 simple rules
  1. Detox the natural way for 1st 7 days (I believe 90% will give up here. So if this fails, the results will not be ideal)
  2. Eat More, But Eat Right (NEVER STARVE NOR BE HUNGRY! I eat almost every 2-3 hourly and that includes SUPPER!) I LOVE THIS! The more I eat, the slimmer I get! Thus, I do not need to give up my love for biting and chewing. So if there is buffet, I'll still be there! *huge laugh*
  3. Little Exercise, But with Variety (You wanna slim down, you've got to firm up. No running from it.)
  4. Journal (Keep track daily)
  5. Someone to WATCH over you (Give advise, suggestions and encouragement when you deviate from what needs to be done)
  6. 7-8 Hours of Sleep every day

My results would have been better, if I had stick to 7-8 hours of sleep daily.
In the past 3 months, the days I had 7-8 hours of sleep, were less than 10.
I either sleep too little, like 3 hours or sleep too much, like 12 hours.
*palm face*

I am not a professional, so I did not know what was the right way to take a good photo of my before and after.
All that I know was to grab those NUMBERS on the measuring tape.

It all began with 52.2kg at the beginning of April 2014.
I had problem buckling one of my most comfortable jeans.
My most comfortable jeans became uncomfortable, especially after my dinner meeting with friends.

****ALL PHOTOS were taken
in the morning
before food
and after poo-ed.

I had such encounters before and each time, I had to throw my jeans away.
I REALLY liked this pair of jeans very much and was not ready to let history repeat itself.

So I made up my mind to STOP this jeans-throwing ritual once and for all.
I decided to slim down my waistline and lower abdomen.

As I focused on those two areas, I noticed that my hip size shrunk too.
Then followed by my thighs.
Well, hip and thighs were not my issues to begin with, but it was definitely a bonus to have those two parts slimmed down too.

After a week of Detox plus a week of corrected lifestyle, my weight starts to show results.
However, my aim is on INCHES on the measuring tape and
Not the KGs on the weighing scale.

NEVER did I once had to weigh any calories before I eat.
I eat almost anything that is NOT processed or canned or carbonated. (Sadly, I do not have a say in what I eat every Sunday when I go over to my in-law's place. *sigh*)
And I do not like to exercise much either.
I am just a really lazy person! *laugh*

So what I had been through fits my Always-Eat-Out and Don't-Cook-At-Home lifestyle.

Nonetheless, I kicked a bad habit of mine.
Which is to sit down or stay seated after meals.
Now, I will get my butt off the chair after each meal and walk/stand for at least 30mins.
This small action HELPED ALOT!!!!

Towards the end of the 2nd month, my slimmer waist challenge came to a plateau.
It stopped at this for a long time :-

This is very common.
Just reactivate that slimming machine again and you'll be fine.
Keep that positivity alive in you.

During this lower body slimming journey,
I found that there are 4 types of people who will have a harder time.

People who :
Have Digestive Issues
Are Lack of Vitamins Bs
Are Highly Carbo sensitive
Do Not Like to Drink Plain Water

So if you belong to these categories, you will need to settle these areas too during the 3 months, as well as have a STRONGER MINDSET than others who want to get rid of BODY FATS.

Losing weight does NOT equal to losing fats.
You might just be losing water!
And that is even more unhealthy!

Losing BODY FATS and Losing WEIGHT is totally different.
What you want to lose is BODY FATS.
And sadly, most regimes out there does not tackle that.
Thus people who had slimmed down put those weight back on or even more than before.

No crash dieting please.
It JUST DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.
We want to STAY slim and NOT be slim for a short while.

Alright,
3 months passed.
And this is my results:

Nothing impressive.
But its enough for me.

Slimming down is not a destination, its a continuation.
Its about maintaining.

Well, I can't stop growing old, but at least I want to look slim and healthy even when I'm old.

CHEERS!

EASIEST Tummy Slimming Method - Lie down for 5 mins every day!

-->
Though this may SOUND REALLY ABSURD, but it really worked for me!!!! 3cm off in 5mins!!!
Some of you might be saying, "Hey I lie down MORE THAN 5 mins each day, but my waistline increases and NOT decreases."

Well, you need to LIE DOWN with STYLE !!!!
*wink*

Watch the video below:~
Unfortunately, the video is in Japanese with Chinese subtitles, so for those of you who can only understand English, I tried to do a simple translation of the main part of the video below. However, I do hope that you would WATCH the video first before going to my simple translation.

If a picture is worth a thousand words,
a video is probably worth a zillion words????

I am sorry that I could not do a full translation of the entire video, but the main idea (which starts at 4:22 of the video) goes like this:~

We need to:
  1. Lie down on our back.
  2. Use a thick rubber band that is so commonly used for tying hair to tie the two biggest toes together.
  3. Stretch out your arms, lay them on the floor, above your head, with fingers/palms touching each other.
  4. Place a pillow under your lower back.
  5. Make sure your butts touch the floor.
  6. Stay in this position for 5mins.
So why does this work?
As we age, our muscles become weaker and/or our intestines become heavier, therefore we are unable to maintain the 'slimmer' figure or proper posture, which we once had when we were younger. Thereafter, our hip bone becomes tilted and our abdominal muscles gets even weaker. Thus, the lower abdomen protrudes.

As the video reaches the end, you can see how this ULTRA SIMPLE 5min regime can do for your tummy.
The results are IMMEDIATE!
No doubt the FASTEST and EASIEST way to slim down that LOWER ABDOMEN!

My question is "Will it last?"
I think so...if its done on a daily basis!
*wink*

Did You Know Your Toilet Position Affects Your Health?

I love to squat when I do my toilet business.
Now that Singapore has become so advance and modernised.
I could hardly find a toilet that allows me to squat to poo.

Then........
I look forward to visit my in-law's every Sunday because one of her 4 toilets has a squatting-bowl and I LOVED IT!!!

And........
Ever since we started to frequent Malaysia at least once a week more than 2 years ago, I was overjoyed! Because I can easily find a toilet cubicle with a squatting-bowl!
Yeah!

Plus.......
Ever since I shifted to my new place, I realised that the coffeshops' in the vicinity also has squatting-bowl cubicles!
*clap clap clap*

Alright, I'm going to tell you a 'secret'.
*laugh*
Its probably no secret after today.

Ready?

Actually....I rest my feet on a stool when I poo.
Sometimes I would tip-toe while my feet are on the stool, so much so that my knees are VERY bent, just like as if I am squatting.
So now you know what I do behind the doors......
*laugh*

Today, I was delighted to hear that what I had been doing is actually good for my health!!!!

*clap clap clap*

When we stand, our Puborectalis muscle will prevent our feces from dropping out.
When we sit, this Puborectalis muscle will be partially relaxed.
And when we squat, the Puborectalis muscle will be fully relaxed, hence its easier and more effective for our poo to shoo out of our body.

Lack of dietary fibre might have been thought to be the cause of constipation, hemorrhoids, colitis, appendicitis, colon cancer and other related health issues.
However, some researchers found out that our bathroom posture plays a more important role in causing these problems.
Of 'cos, having fibre in our diet should NOT be omitted either.

At The Stanford University Pelvic Floor Clinic, squatting is not only recommended with patients with colon issues, it is required.

Here's a video that explains it all.
I am NOT doing an advertorial post for Squatty Potty.
Just that this video makes me happy because now I understand why I love to squat or bend my knees when I am doing my Big Business in the toilet...... simply because I'm Listening to what my body wants.

Simply because,
We,
Humans,
anatomically,
are designed
to squat to poo.

*wink*

First Time Using Daily Disposable Lenses

Over the past few months, my eyes had become very sensitive.
Totally no clue as to why or what is causing it.

Yesterday morning, I woke up with a swollen left eye.
The white area of my eyeball was puffed up.
It looked as if someone had injected liquid into it.

The black area of my eyeball was still in good condition.
Thank Goodness!
Or else I would have been half-blind the whole of yesterday.

The white part was so swelled up that I had problem closing my left eye.
When my eyelid drops down, it felt like it was the bread of a sandwich, with the white part as the fillings.
GROSS!

I felt so and so did my boys.
Exact same comment "GROSS!"

It was not painful nor itchy.
It just felt uncomfortable.

A friend of mine saw my condition and believed that the culprit might had been my contact lens.
Hhhmmm... which reminded me that it was probably overdue!
Ooops!

Ever since I started wearing contact lenses more than 20 years ago,
monthly disposable contact lenses were my only choice and I wore them every single day.

It was only towards the end of last year that I stopped wearing them on a regular basis.
I wore my glasses more often instead.
In fact, I hardly wear contact lenses anymore, probably twice a week or thrice at most.

Thus I thought it would be more practical and economical to switch to daily disposable lenses.
Bought them more than one month ago but decided to keep them till my monthly disposable ones ran out.

As if to welcome me to the Daily Disposable Lenses group, I received this cute hand towel from the sweet optometrist.
What a surprise!
Guessed I would not be using it to wipe my hands, 'cos too cute!
*laugh*

My swollen left eye took ONE WHOLE day to recover.
It only got well this morning after many drops of EYEMO yesterday.

At 8.15am today, I could finally close my left eye without having the feeling of it being like a hamburger, with a thick meat in the center.

However, the strain was still there.
Not painful type of strain, but tiredness type of strain.

Before we went out for dinner just now, I decided to throw away my overdue contact lenses and tried out the daily disposable lenses for the very first time.

The 'fitting' did not feel as good as my monthly disposable contact lense, but hey, it definitely felt 'fresher'.

I Did What I DON'T LIKE...but was Necessary...

Everyone of us will definitely experience such an awful feeling at least once in our life.
Well, some of us experience it 5 times a week : 'Don't feel like going to work, but it was Necessary.'
Yes???

YES!
None of us like that feeling.
Yet, whatever that IS Necessary IS good for us.
Don't feel like working? But it brings in Money and Money keeps your family alive.
Right???

Alright, what am I trying to say today.
Even blogging about 'THIS' seemed so hard for me. (Something EXTREMELY rare! *laugh*)

Ok ok!
Here goes!

I DISLIKE SHORT HAIR FOR MYSELF!

They become so unruly!
So messy!
Many times, it looks just like a dry, worn out broom made of hay!
Urgh!

Ever since I cut my hair REALLY SHORT after my Chinese Dance performance at SYF, some months before I sat for my 'O' levels, I told myself that I would not want to have a hair length anywhere near my shoulders anymore!
Well, it was a fun pact made between my Chinese Dance buddies and I.
We had kept our hair long (REALLY long) for the sake of Chinese Dance throughout our Secondary School life and we REALLY wanted a change.
So the four of us went to the same hair salon at the same time and snipped snipped snipped!

To me, it was UGLY! or rather Short Hair is still NOT NICE on this head of mine even till this day!
Ya, you get it.
I said till this day....
I cut my hair short again.

What was so drastic that made me do something that I REALLY Did not like to do?
My hair loss....

Its thinning at a very scary rate.
I do not like to describe further.
All I can say is I can SEE MY SCALP at certain parts of my head pretty well, especially after hair wash, without the need to comb my hair.
*heart sank*

In recent years, I came to know this lady, the wife of my hubby's friend, who once worked in a famous hair treatment salon. (I will not be revealing the salon's name lest I get her into trouble).
She looked at my hair and my scalp and said, "You should let your scalp heal on its own and that takes time. The fastest way to let your scalp heal well is to cut your hair short. Your scalp is already weak and with your long hair, its taking lots of weight, its too weak to carry that burden."

With all the colouring and perming of my hair throughout the past year, I definitely have hurt my scalp in more ways than one.

To me, when I ask people for advise, I TAKE THE ADVISE.
If not, its like an insult to the person.

But when you give me an advise when I did Not ask for it....errr... then that's another issue altogether. *wink*

So, like an obedient patient, I took her advise of changing my shampoo, using tonic and CUTTING MY HAIR SHORT!

Its something that I do NOT like to do, but it was Necessary for the health of my scalp.
Better look ugly with short hair, than with no hair right?
If I continued to leave my hair length long, I believe the 'no hair scenario' will come sooner than expected.

So I did it.
And I do NOT LIKE IT!
But I still had to smile at the camera, 'cos hubby said must 'see teeth'.... *eyes rolled*

By the way, cutting short was not good enough, I had to LAYERED my hair too to LIGHTEN THE WEIGHT, so that my scalp will have less stress, thus can heal better.

On top of all the above advice, she kept reminding me to "SLEEP EARLY! RELAX! DON'T STRESS TOO MUCH!"
*giggle*

Yup, late nights and stress will affect hair loss too.
And I also found out recently on the internet that wrapping your hair up with the towel into a turban will also damage the hair and scalp. So I had stopped doing that altogether too.

*Deep Inhale*
*Deep Exhale*

Alright, here's how I look now with my LOTS OF LAYERING + SHORT + HAIR.....

Fight the Flu Bug

Though popping in a Clarinase pill might seem easier and faster, there are other more NATURAL ways to fight the flu bug.

You might want to try this:
  1. 1 Lemon
  2. 2 Apples
  3. 1 inch of Ginger
Put all the above into a blender. Remember to keep the apple skin. Do not un-skin the 2 apples so as to preserve the high flavonoid content in it. This content helps to reduce the risk of heart attacks and cancer.

I know many does not like the smell or taste of Ginger, but the anti-viral qualities in ginger is the key essential ingredient to fight your flu. Just like how a cup of Teh Halia (Ginger Tea) can do the trick too.

Then again, prevention is better than cure.
So its the same old line that hardly anyone bother to pay attention to anymore, "More rest, More exercise and Eat a balanced diet" to build that immune system of yours. With a stronger immune system, illness have lesser chance of making you its victim.

Cheers to Good Health!
*smile*

Seriously into Evian Water for Skin Care

I think this is my 3rd post about Evian Water. Just in case some of you may think that Evian probably paid me to do this, no No NO!

I am seriously into Evian Water because it did show results and they were too significant to deny that Evian Water truly works for my complexion. With a cup a day and using it on a cotton pad to clean my face, it is repairing my 'abused' skin very well.

Then again, I must make this statement. What works for me might not work for you and vice versa. Skin care is something very personal indeed.

For those of you who have not seen me before, PLEASE do NOT think that I have baby skin. On the contrary, my skin condition is rather bad because of my frequent Acne breakouts. Now that Evian Water put that under control already and together with Mary Kay facial wash, the repair work is in good progress.

*Thumbs Up*

Read these posts to know how I found out about Evian Water and what was my skin like in the past:~
If you have read those posts already, you would know that buying Evian Water on a regular basis can 'burn' quite a big hole in your pocket. Its $2.60 per bottle. So I am always looking out for discount or bundle promotion at NTUC FairPrice.

Sad to say, this week when I was hunting for my 'miracle water' for my skin , there were no more promotion. In fact, there were no more BIG BOTTLES! The smaller the bottle, the more expensive it costs, when you calculate based on cost per litres.

So I decided to go Sheng Siong Supermarket to try my luck.

From far I spotted the striking red word with pink, blue white background. The company must have engaged some professional logo designs specialists to get this logo up. Its hard to miss.

Then I saw the word PROMOTION!!!!

Yippee!

A box of 12 bottles for $28.00!

If I buy the big bottles individually, its $2.60 each. That would make $31.20 for 12 bottles. Hooray! A little savings is better than no savings, right?! *wink*

So without hesitation, my muscle-man, aka my hubby, lifted the heavy box full of Evian Water and bought it for me. *Grin*

These 12 bottles can last me for a month. Yeah!
*clap clap clap*

Does Evian Water Improve Skin Complexion?

This is the follow up of the test I did in this post "Evian Water is Good For Skin, True?"

From then till now, I had tried using it in 3 different ways:~
  1. Using it as a Toner only
  2. Drinking and using it as a Toner after every facial wash
  3. Drinking alone
and eventually not drinking nor using it at all!

Experiment 1: Using it as a Toner only
I have the tenancy of getting rid of my blackheads or whiteheads whenever I see them, right after facial wash. When all the squeezing or pricking is over, my face would appear red and slightly blotchy, which would usually subside after approximately 24hours. But when I use Evian on a cotton pad and wipe my skin after the 'self-blackhead-removing-treatment', the blotchy-ness subsided in 2 hours! Amazing!

Experiment 2: Drinking and using it as a Toner after every facial wash
The result was simply amazing! I had no more acne outbreaks, only very few small pimples, which gets 'matured' very quickly and hence was easy to get rid of. And these small pimples only appear like maybe one pimple in 10days. In my case, it is considered wonderful!

I used to have acne outbreaks very frequently due to my late nights and especially when the time is near to my menstruation period. After drinking and using it as a Toner after every facial wash, even with late nights, I do not have anymore acne outbreaks. Hooray!

The best part is, whenever my pimples or acne subsides, the scar remains on my face for months; but after trying this Experiment 2, pimples scars disappeared in a few days. Pretty miraculous! I think partly also due to the size of the pimples, as I have mentioned earlier, which were much smaller and easier to get rid of.

Experiment 3: Drinking alone
No more acne outbreaks but pimples scars take a much longer time to subside.

Last Experiment: Not using nor drinking it at all
It was HORRIBLE!!!!
Everything came right back to how it used to be!
I did not want to be dependent on Evian water, but after stopping completely for almost 2 weeks, my face looks terrible now!
4 acnes came out in a single day!

The scars did not clear up nor lighten. Yes, I admit that my late nights lifestyle is a crucial factor to my skin complexion, but I did not change my lifestyle when I tried the first 3 experiments. I continued the same diet, the same sleeping time, the same more stressful life because lots of changes were going on in the family and house.
Now I am so sick of my face and I am going to attend a friends gathering in 2 days time. *scream* It looks so bad now!
Its not even two full weeks yet since the day I stopped using or drinking Evian water and the difference is so drastic!

My Verdict:
I really cannot stand the face I am looking at when I stand in front of the mirror and I do not think I want to leave it as it is. So I think I will go to the supermarket later today to get my Evian Water skin treatment back. The only sad thing is the expense I have to spend on my face.
If there are no promotion, one big bottle of Evian water cost around $2.60, multiple that with 30 days would give me a damage of $78 per month. Wow! *heart pain*

Maybe I will try to make one big bottle of Evian Water last for 2 days instead of 1 day. Then the cost would be lessen by half = $39 each month. Hhhmmm... that sounds better.

How my face looks, directly affects my self esteem. I am already unhappy with my features and with a bad complexion, it just brings my confidence level even lower and I am NOT going to let that happen. Humph!

Alright, that's it for now. For those my blog readers who had been asking me about my experience with Evian water, here you have it! All in one post! *wink*

Hope this helps!
Cheers to great complexion!

Does Weight Really Matters To Women?

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a Beauty Pageant for the oversize women in America.
Definitely something very different from the usual Miss World or Miss Universe.
They were holding their heads up high and feeling confident of the body they are in.

Then I saw this article 'floating' around in Facebook and I thought hhhmmm.... its good to share it here:

A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:
"Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness.

They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia. They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.

Mermaids do not exist.
But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?
Without a doubt, I'd rather be a whale.

At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.
We women, we gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn't enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies.

We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated. Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: "How amazing am I ?! "

Evian water is good for skin, True?

It all started with my sister's friend, whom I have known for more than 15 years.
Her beautician told her that using Evian water to wash her face and drinking Evian water every day will help to improve her complexion. She replaced her usual (plain) drinking water with Evian water. Her beautician gave this suggestion because of the pH level of 7.2 in the Evian water, which is very close to the normal human blood of pH 7.4.
She tried and it worked! Of cos' it was not instantaneous, but over some weeks.

Then, few days later, when I went for my make-up lesson cum 'how to take care of your skin' lesson, my teacher also mentioned about cleaning the face with mineral water. As she was marketing her company's brand, it was unethical for her to mention any other brands, even though her company does not produce mineral water. So it remains a mystery as to what mineral water did I use on my face during that lesson. But it sure feels good.

Anyhow, I started buying, drinking and using Evian water on my face ever since my sister's friend let out this 'secret' to her good skin complexion.

Last year end, I started to sleep at around 3am. The lack of rest or late nights have affected my skin complexion BIG TIME! There were more acnes, especially during pre-menstruation period, and the blemishes does not lighten in days anymore, but months!

My sister's wedding is just less than a month away, I had to do something to my face. Some Major Changes to my Lifestyle. Just like what my make-up teacher said: "Even if you use the best skin care products, but you do not change your lifestyle (late night rest), you will not see improvements in your skin. Our skin rejuvenate every day between 10pm to 3am."

Me: "Oh no! By sleeping at 3am, I have totally missed the rejuvenation period every day!"

Teacher: "Yes, you need to rest during that period, in order for your skin to rejuvenate well."

I am thankful that I found this teacher and because of that I am helping her to group women, who wants to improve their skin condition or learn the skills of proper make up, together for her classes, in return of her kindness. Though she did suggest that I should become a trainer or referrer myself to earn some income, but because of my 'uncontrollable' time-table, I rejected.

Hence, I do not earn a cent by grouping these women together. Its purely my style. I just love to share good stuff.

***Let me know if you are interested to come for my teacher's classes too. Leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Anyhow, its less than 24 days to my sister's big day and I want to look good that day, even though the limelight is not on me. *laugh*

I am definitely INTO this Evian water 'treatment' thing now. Drinking and using it as a toner, instead of washing my face with it, because its rather pricey for me. $2.00+ per bottle to wash?! Errrr.... not a price which my pocket could hold for long before a big hole is created....

Thus I am crossing my fingers and toes and waiting anxiously to see the result of my skin complexion, on my sis's wedding day on 6th December.....

My Spot On Purchase ~ Nexcare Skin Care by 3M

This is not a paid post.
And I am not trying to encourage you to buy it.
But rather this is a post to exclaim how satisfied I am with this product: Nexcare Skin Care by 3M

*giggle*
Yes, you did not see wrongly and I did not purchase the wrong product.
Though it said 'Men', I prefer this packaging than the ones for 'Ladies'.
This packaging consists of 30pieces at S$8.00+.
The 'ladies' packaging consists of lesser than half the quantity and it comes in all shapes and sizes which I think is redundant at the price of S$5.00+ (if I didn't remember wrongly).

Its good for pimples of all sorts: can see 'heads and pus' types and those that cannot.

For me, it works best when the pimple is 'NEW', i.e. probably just came out after a night rest and it appeared the next morning.

From my experiences with it, the 'sticker' SUCKS OUT THE PUS really well when the pimple is 'NEW'.
On the average, its about 2 stickers to get rid of one pimple.

I would usually stick it after my last bath and sleep with it on my face and would remove it before I step out of the house the next day.

Because of this amazing product, teeny-weeny bit of squeezing or NO SQUEEZING was really needed.
The best part is no scars were left behind to add on to my already 'scar-ry' face.

Well, it works really well for me and I love it to the core, especially during those pre-menstruation outbreaks days every month.
*Thumb Ups*

Hand Cream for Dry Skin

Using hand cream for dry skin ~ I have never expected this day would come.
I have oily skin. I would not say that my palms are oily nor could they be labeled as 'sweaty palms', but it is definitely far from the category of 'dry skin'.

It came as a surprise this morning.
Allan believes that it must be due to some kind of chemical or the increased frequency of washing done over the past week.
I don't know.

But the sight of it was worrying.
No itch. No pain.
It just kept peeling.

Being someone who has never even glanced at the hand cream section of any shop, I am lost as to which hand cream to buy for my dry skin. In the end, I go with the price. Something not too pricey nor too low end. I believe in mid-range priced products whenever I am spoiled for choice.

I have no idea if this hand cream is good for my dry skin or not, I just went with my six sense that it would do miracle to my peeling palms.

To my surprise, a huge improvement is undeniably visible after two applications! Wow!

Now, the only areas that are still not back-to-normal are the parts between my fingers.

Seriously, I am impressed!

How to Kill Insomnia and Slim Down at the same time? - Instructions

A few of my friends, who have difficulty with Chinese, asked me to do an English version of the Step by Step routine for my previous post 'How to Kill Insomnia and Slim Down at the same time?'

Ok, so here's the Step by Step to a life of killing your insomia, slimming down that waistline, hips and thighs AND a BETTER BOWEL SYSTEM.

Do the following steps BEFORE GOING TO BED for a good night rest.

Step 1: Lie flat on your back

Step 2: Place your legs slightly apart

Step 3: For warm up, do the fingers and toes squeeze exercise as shown in the video. Do it for 30 times. (If you realise there is a significant difference in difficulty in doing the exercise between your left and your right toes, then bring your legs closer to each other and the difference between the two sides will decrease.)

Step 4: Place your legs apart with your toes pointing outwards. (To know how far apart your legs should be, use your shoulders as a guide. The outward-pointing-toes should be the width of your shoulders.)

Step 5: Bend your toes and ankles towards yourself.

Step 6: Maintaining that position, keeping your legs straightened, taking a deep breath as you lift up your legs to 30cm above ground and HOLD them there. (Note: Lift your legs and take that deep breath AT THE SAME TIME)

Step 7: Let your legs stay in the air for 10 counts while holding your breath.

Step 8: Drop your legs. (my favourite part *giggle*)

Step 9: Slowly breath out.

Step 10: Stay in that relax position for 2mins. Breathing normally.

and Good Night. *yawn*

Do the following steps BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR BED in the morning to prevent constipation:

Step 1: Place your legs slightly apart.

Step 2: Bring your toes in towards each other with your big toes pressing against one another side by side. As shown in the video.

Step 3: Maintaining the same position, take a very deep breath.

Step 4: (here's the most challenging part, to me) While releasing your breath, lift up your legs to 30cm above the ground. (Note: Lift your legs and release that deep breath AT THE SAME TIME)

Step 5: Let your legs stay in the air for 10 counts.

Step 6: Drop your legs. (Yeah!)

Step 7: Stay in that relax position for 2mins. Breathing normally.

Step 8: Keeping your arms straight, put your hands above your head. As shown in the video.

Step 9: Maintaining that position, roll your body over till you are facing down and lying on your tummy.

Step 10: With your knee 'stuck' to the ground and your head down, slowly use your hands to push your body backwards, towards your legs till you reach a position whereby your arms and back is straightened. Hold it there for one second.

Step 11: Still maintaining your head down, slowly slide your hands back till your elbow is bent 90degrees.

Step 12: In that position, push your body further backwards till your bum sits on your legs.

Step 13: Slowly slide your hands back till your elbow is bent. Push your body upwards.

Step 14: Put your hands on your laps to further push your body fully up with your back 90degrees to the ground. Like a Japanese style sitting position.

Step 15: Lift up one leg with your knee bent, then use that leg to push your whole body up to a standing position.

and you are ready to start your day! *Grin*

Do all the above mentioned 25 steps, Before going to bed and Before getting out of bed to see slimming down effect.

HAVE FUN! *smile*

How to Kill Insomnia and Slim Down at the same time?

As promised in my previous post 'How To Slim Down While Lying Down?', here's the video which teaches how to solve your insomnia and helps your to slim down your thigh, hips and waist, while lying on your back all at the same time!

I am still trying it out and measuring the result of it. But as compared to my previous post on 'How To Slim Down While Lying Down?', I think this is much more difficult and complicated...

How To Slim Down While Lying Down?

Many years ago, my sis showed me a Japanese video which showed how to slim down your thighs and waist while lying down.
It worked for me.
But when I try to find that video again, I could not and my sis cannot remember either.
It was a pity.
Whenever I know of something good and works and yet I could not share with others, I feel lousy inside.
Hhhmmm.... That's me.

Anyway it worked something like that:
Whenever I lie down with my boys to accompany them to bed. I would put my legs side by side, straightened, with the big toes really close to each other. In the video, it was suggested that a rubber band should be used to tie the two big toes together.

Soon, you will feel the strain on your calf and your thigh.
Maybe a minute later or so, you will feel your lower tummy muscle contracting.

Throughout the 10mins exercise, your breathing should be normal, even though there will be some moments you really wish to hold your breath because your muscles are feeling the strain.

Just 10mins every night, 1 week later, I saw smaller thighs and smaller waist. Well, it worked for me, not sure if the magic will work for you. I love it because its killing three birds with one stone. I get to be with my kids before they enter dreamland, I could rest my aching back after a long day and I can slim down! *muack*

BUT RECENTLY I FOUND ANOTHER VIDEO, which also teaches you how to slim down while lying down AND at the same time kill your insomia.... (to be continued)
