Samsung Galaxy Note II 4G

Alright, hubby won and I lost!
Remember this other post I did sometime back in July? "No! I'm Not Going To Buy A New Phone!"
Yes, even after putting up that post, my man never gave up nagging and bugging me to get a new phone.

A couple of days ago, he needed to get a contact from my phone.
Touched it,
Tried to access the contact and
Started flaring with disgust!
*laugh*
"How can you stand your phone?! Its so insensitive and takes so long to react!"
He is short of saying the word 'RETARDED'.
*huge laugh*

Oh well, I am a patient person and thus I do not mind waiting for 2 seconds more for my phone to react. My focus is : IT STILL CAN WORK!

Anyway, this short few minutes of hands-on experience with my Nokia phone gave him a booster : to speed up his action in getting a new phone for me.

Today, he was cheeky.
While I was paying for stuff at Giant Supermarket in Johor Bahru, he sneaked went off to a mobile phone shop and started asking for Samsung Galaxy Note II cover.
*faint*

I did not want to pull him away from the shop as the sales girl had already started digging out all the colours available for the Samsung Galaxy Note II cover and it would look so awfully rude if I did drag him butt out of the shop, won't?

My hubby knows me too well!!!
He knew I would not do that.
I gave in and he won!

Yellow is my favourite colour.
Whatever that is in Yellow, especially bright yellow will always catch my eyes first.
The moment I saw the ADDITIONAL GLITTERS on the Samsung Galaxy Note II cover, I was thrilled!!!!

I could not have my glittering floor tiles for my house (go read this post to understand why "Progress of New House - Update 2"), but a GLITTERING PHONE COVER would be just as wonderful!
 Yeah!!!

So without any hesitation, I chose the YELLOW GLITTERING cover!
*MUuuuuuuAAACK!*
LOVE IT!

On this very same day, after we returned to Singapore, went down to M1 shop and bought the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
So his trick worked!
Ain't he smart or what?!*wink*

Cover first, then phone.....

 THANK YOU DEARIE!
*hugs*

My Birthday 2012

1st of October marks the beginning of a SUPER EXCITING MONTH and at the same time it ends the birthday celebration month for me.

Here's a small recap of what I did for my birthday this year 2012.
Few words, more photos. because I am too busy this month for long posts.

Had Dinner with my Sis and BIL at Zafferano
Check out my Zafferano blog post here "Zafferano - Restaurant at Level 43"

Also had a dinner celebration on another day at The Soup Restaurant at Vivo City with J., XY., and P.L.
Their presents for me:

Yeah! Heard a lot about this product and had always wanted to try. But I think to pay 'that' amount for 'trying' purpose was way too much for me. So thank you girls (including B.L. who did not attend the dinner due to poor health) for making my wish come true.

A Surprise Gift from the girls too! Lovely bag for me to use during wedding dinners! Yeah! *clap clap clap*

My Birthday Cake!

Yum!

A Birthday Card from my lovely insurance representative! What a surprise! I cannot even remember when was the last time I received a Birthday Card.... Thank you, thank you.....

On my birthday itself, the four of us went to KISEKI Japanese Buffet Restaurant for a truly sumptuous and enjoyable dinner!

Here's one without the 'Calefares'! *laugh*

That satisfied look! *laugh*

But the THING that made me leapt was THIS!!!!
Present from hubby!
Seen so much, read so much, finally can use so much!
*laugh*

With that, ends my birthday celebration for this year.

Thank you EVERYONE who put a smile on my face!

A Gift From the Heart

Yesterday my usual girl gang celebrated Yan's birthday. Instead of receiving presents from us only, she gave me a gift. A gift from the heart.

I was extremely uneasy and totally uncomfortable during my sister's wedding banquet because of my new shoes. See pictures of the shoes in this post "Evening Gown For Wedding Dinner".

It was the first time I wore shoes with such design. My feet were lifted out of the shoe with every step I take and when I land, it 'crushed' the end-part of the shoes. In the end, I either had to keep adjusting the back of the shoe so that my heels could fit in, or I had to walk extremely slowly as I pushed my feet up-and-backwards, in order not to slip out of the shoe again.

It was a horrible feeling! I had to entertain the guests, walk around and yet I was hunching and walking like a tortise! Super Horrible!

Yan was there at my sister's wedding and I told her about my unhappiness. Immediately she suggested that I should buy a shoe-pad from Scholl. As I could not think of another occasion whereby I would wear that pair of shoes again, I did not purchase the shoe-pad.

Now that Chinese New Year is round the corner, I thought it might be a great chance to wear those heels again. So I asked Yan yesterday over the table of food, if she could 'bring' me to buy the shoe-pad, since we were already at the biggest shopping mall in Singapore.

"I bought it for you already." she said as she reached into her bag and took this out:

My heart melted that very instant! She listened, she remembered and she took the trouble to buy it for me and did not want me to pay her a single cent. *hugs*

I was really moved. I did not know what else to say but to say "Thank You" repeatedly.

When I reached home, I tried it on immediately and oh wow! It was so comfortable! First, it solved my slipping problem and it gave me great comfort! Satisfaction score ~ 100% !

Thank you Yan, you touched my heart.... *super hugs* Thank you......

My Birthday Celebration 2011

Now who said that birthday celebrations are meant for the kids?
I had the best birthday celebration (yet) this year!

For the very first time, it was celebrated overseas!
It has been a long time since my family, my bride-to-be sister, my hubby and my two boys had a day trip together; and overseas? First time definitely! I am so thankful that my birthday fell on a Saturday this year, or else my sister would not be able to join in already. *hugs*
What makes it even more special is a good friend, who hardly comes back to Singapore, came back on my birthday month! *super hugs*
Another surprise came when an old friend whom I have known for 23 years gave me a special birthday treat! Yum! *triple hugs*

In my family, birthdays celebrations starts at midnight, the very first minute of the day, with cake cutting 'ceremony'. *wink*

The wordings were chosen by my elder son. Made me feel like Mother's Day celebration cum Birthday Celebration. *Grin*

We set off to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, after my boys' morning swimming lesson. I am impressed by their stamina that day.

I dare say I am addicted to having day trips in JB.
Things are so much more worthwhile for us Singaporeans.
I am making a conscious effort Not to say 'Things are So Cheap in Malaysia' anymore, ever since a close Malaysian friend of mine 'berated' me (in a soft way), "The price of things in Malaysia has never rose so much, it only started when more and more Singaporeans started going there and say "So Cheap! So Cheap!"..."
Ooops! High possibility I think.

Its not only worthwhile in terms of price, but I love the genuine smiles whenever I am served and not forgetting the good food too. The same restaurant in Singapore and in Malaysia actually had different standards.
A little disappointing for Singapore.
Somehow I feel that the chefs in Malaysia seemed to cook from their heart, while the chefs in Singapore probably cook because they needed the salary.

Take this restaurant for an example: Wong Kok Char Chan Teng
All the food served onto our table were REALLY nice! Every one of them.
Of course, the best part is.... I get a HUMONGOUS GLASS of Milk Tea for FREE, because it was my Birthday!

ITS BIGGER THAN MY ELDER SON'S HEAD!!!

Oh please!
Its just for photo-taking purposes.
No way are we going to drink directly from THAT!
We prefered to drink from the NORMAL PLASTIC GLASSES provided.

Thank you Dearie for the 'hard' work serving us. *giggle*

The restaurant even played the 'Happy Birthday Song' for me, while the waiter walked towards me securing the GIGANTIC GLASS with two hands!

There were so many people celebrating their birthdays that day. During our 1hour plus dining experience, the Birthday song was played 6 times, including mine! *wink*

Here are the conditions:
  • Minimum spending RM30
  • Must present IC as proof (yes, they accept Singapore IC too! *phew*)
  • Valid through 3 days before and after Birthday

Will do a 'proper' blog post on my review of Wong Kok Char Chan Teng restaurant in a separate post. There are just too much Good things to say about them. *Grin*

Next,
its Shopping time!
We went City Square for the second time this year, after the KTM train ride in May 2011, before the Tanjong Pagar KTM train station closed. The children bought more Angry Birds and my younger one bought his first collection of Plants vs Zombies plush toy! *faint*
Yes, they bought with their own money!
And I bought more pinky rings again this time!

We had been exploring different shopping malls, at different places, on each of our visit to Johor Bahru, over the past 3 months. This time, we went to Tesco at Seri Alam. Bought lots of Groceries, as usual... *Thumbs Up*

If you ever wonder how to pass time, stay happy! *laugh*
'Cos happy times pass soooooooooooooooo fast!

With that comes Yummy Time!

We are trying out yet another new seafood restaurant. So far we have gone to two, first was Restoran Todak. I have yet to blog about the second seafood restaurant, which belonged to my friend's friend.
Now, this is the third seafood restaurant we have visited in Johor Bahru! One that is highly recommended in forums too:
Restoran Tian Lai

There are so much to write about Restoran Tian Lai too!
Don't think I want to cramp everything here and make this birthday post a million-word long post. *laugh*
So will do a separate post again for this.

Ok ok, I know I know, lots of yet-to-blog posts lining up.
There are already 8 drafts on the list now...
Will get it done....
in time to come...
*fingers crossed*
Still trying to juggle time with everything on hand and 'forcing myself' to have 2 hours of entertainment time each day or else I will go bonkers!

After dinner we headed home without any issue.
If you are thinking what kind of issue there could be, well, we were lost on our very first drive in to Johor Bahru and we were lost in a totally pitch dark place. Check out this blog post "Anniventure" if you want to know how scary it was.
*Thumbs Up* to Hubby's great driving skills again.

Before I end this birthday post, it is only right that I thank my present-givers by 'showing off' my presents. *Grin*

From Dearie

From my closest group of girlfriends in Secondary School
