Yeah!
This week is eBay week!
May every week be eBay week! *clap clap clap*
Yesterday a customer came to my place and cleared many of those metal hooks used in Pushcarts, bazaar or retail shops. A very nice young couple. First venture for them. Definitely bring back memories of how young Allan and I were when we became our own boss too. *smile*
I was so happy when they bought these:
Maybe I was a little overjoyed, so much so that whatever discount they wanted I gave without bargaining. Ooops! *slap*
Well, these items are so niche!
The last time I sold these was in 2009!
Yes! Can you believe it?!
I was curious to find out when was the last time a customer was interested in my metal hooks which were sold on eBay. And the carbonised receipt showed 2009!
They had been waiting for their rightful owner for 2 years and if I refused to let them go just because of a few dollars, (actually it was more than a few dollars. Some were slashed half price! And I agreed. Ok, I'm nuts!) I would be cursed, I think. *laugh*
Well, I told them, unless you take all that I have here for these 3 types, or else no discount for you. They nodded without hesitation. Alright deal done!
Loved the transaction.
*Muack*
Now, I am left with the super long and the super short metal hooks still selling on my eBay... hope I would not need to wait for another two years... *fingers crossed*
When things don't go your way, you either get bitter or better. What's your choice?

72pieces Earring Hooks sold on eBay
Being in the retail line for so many years, I dare say that I have seen almost all sorts of customers. But for online retailing, I am still a 4 year old toddler. Still learning and some are 'near-death' lessons, like what happened to my Nigeria 'customer' last week.
5 days before the above incident, I received an sms from an annoymous.
The person wanted to buy earring hooks from me.
Yet, every other day this person changes the order.
(I am reading her messages as I type this down.)
From 3 packs of Rodium Earring Hooks
to
5 packs of Rodium Earring Hooks and 1 packet of Copper Earring Hooks
to
3 packs of Rodium Earring Hooks and 1 packet of Copper Earring Hooks
to
5 packs of Rodium Earring Hooks
To me, it is perfectly fine to change order, but the way the messages were put across made me feel really uneasy.
Then this person, who still refused to let me know who I am talking to, name was kept a secret, insisted on sending me cash by post.
I hate going into any argument with my customers.
I do not want to have an incident of mail-lost-with-cash-in-it kind of quarrel.
So I rejected.
I insisted on bank transfer.
This person started to convince me that it is ok to mail out cash and started to tell me how many times this had been done.
I am sorry.
You want to buy my things, you follow my rules.
So I told the person, without bank transfer, deal is off.
Then no reply for a long time.
By the way, did I mention enough that these messages were sent over a period of days?
So I thought the deal was off.
Somehow I felt relieved.
When a customer behaves in this way, I foresee more problems will follow.
I was wrong.
The message came again and said, "I'll try bank transfer, okay?"
Good!
At least there is a proof that you have transfered and if there are any discrepancies, I can always look for the bank.
So I ask the person, whom till now still refused to tell me the name, "What is the mailing address?"
Totally ignored that question.
*shake head + eyes rolled*
I was thinking, if this goes on it would be a great deal! ~ receive money without any goods needed to be delivered. *wink*
Then this person kept asking me for my full name and my bank account number every day and said, I will transfer the money on this day or that day. But it never happened.
And asked me for my full name and bank account number AGAIN on another day and said would do the transfer again. But did not.
The whole conversation started on 10th August and money only came in on 22nd August.
Yes, we had been having this ding-dong messaging business for 12 days!
How amazing?!
Well, over the past 12 days of messaging with this unknown person, oh yes, even after payment was made, this person still have not revealed the name nor the mailing address even though I have been asking for it a number of times over the past 12 days.
Instead of giving me the name and the mailing address, this person told me to take a photo of the envelope to PROVE that I have sent.
I'm sorry, I laughed a little.
How can a photo proof that I have sent?!
A video sounds more like it, isn't?
Anyway I wanted to reply, "How do you expect me to send something without giving me your name and your mailing address?"
But I didn't.
Instead, I replied, "I am still waiting for you to give me the mailing address and person's name."
Did the person reply?
Finally yes, after a long while.
So now, its the photo-taking part.
I do not want her (yes! at least now I know I had been talking to a girl) to come back to me and start saying, "you just took a photo of the envelope, but it did not proof that you have mailed."
I just want the seemingly endless messaging to stop!
I'm sorry, I think my patience was really tested having to answer repeatedly on questions which have been asked before. Even the price of the items, she had to ask so many times to confirm. *sigh*
Ok, maybe I am just a bad bad bad person.
So I thought long and hard, 'How to take a photo that is closest to proofing I have mailed the items.'
So I did more than just taking a photo of the envelope.
Here's what I took:
Oh well, unless I am really that terrible to pull the envelope back out after the photo shoot.
Of cos I did not!
What I want to put across over here is, if you cannot even have simple trust in the person you are dealing with in any trade, its ..... *sigh*

Selling on My eBay
Thanks to the customer who came to my place to 'ransack' my 7 years of retail stuff today. Because she cleared some categories of my items, I am able to have empty slots to post new items.
Little did I know that the sales response towards my eBay listing is in direct relation to how many postings I can have in my eBay listing.
There was a few months which I had zero sales and eBay sent me a 'warning' saying that I had to reduce my postings to less than 100, or else they would remove any random postings so as to keep it within that 'allowable' limit. And as the sales of each month differs, the number of my eBay postings changes too.
So, with this young lady buying every single piece of the two types of Rhodium necklaces available above and considering the small increase in the number of sales made this month, I am able to have more slots for new postings.
She is taking her first step towards entrepreneurship and I am glad to be part of that significant moment of hers. Though she bought lots of jewellery-making part and pieces and many were not in my eBay listing, the total value was small because most of my items are selling at dirt cheap prices; example some of my items are going at 72pieces for $1.00 or 64pieces for $1.00.
Am I happy?!
Sure Am!
Though my items are clearing at snail speed, its still clearing... *smile*

Sell On eBay - Earring Hooks
Great!
Another few pieces down.
Though this is taking way longer than I wanted, I am still happy with every single sale I made on eBay. Afterall, I am CLEARING my stocks, not really earning money from it.
In fact, most of my things are sold below market price on eBay, just like the followings which were purchased by a customer few days ago.
I had customers of all sorts, who bought these Earring Hooks. Some used them for their own purposes, others were like me in the past, used them to create varieties of earrings and sell them off.
Whichever category they might be in, these two items are my most sellable items in my eBay list, because they are way below market price. I have seen a shop selling the Rhodium Earring Hooks at 8pieces for $1.00, yet I am selling 72pieces for $1.00!!!
A few of my customers could not believe the bargain and had emailed me to double confirm that it was not a typo error made on my eBay listing. *giggle*
Well, I purchased these and many other jewellery making parts and pieces in Thousands and Thousands of quantity. If I do not sell them off in such large amount per pack, I would take even longer to clear.
So here's to more selling on eBay!
Cheers!

Blink Blink
Seriously, I don't know if I should cheer or sulk. 'Cos if I'm not sorting them, packing them... I'm not earning from them. Hmmm...
But my eyes have been hurting ever since I started clearing them and THESE are NOT the smallest items I'm selling. *Faint*
The more I pack them for my customers, the more strenuous it is for my eyes, 'cos I could only do such meticulous task when my kids are asleep. I wouldn't want to risk counting till 99 and wham, my boys fly me a bear hug, knocking my things off and I've got to do a recount. You know what I mean right?
So I'm usually doing this at about 12mn, when the kids are REALLY ASLEEP.
Ok, anyhow, like the Chinese saying goes, "Xiu xi, shi wei le zou gen chang yuan de lu." (Rest is necessary before a longer journey can be taken)
So I'm enjoying my 'rest' now... I just hope it won't be too long.... *laugh*

Trying My luck....
Good News are rolling in like marbles, smooth and fast.
But I am greedy, I wish it could be even faster and the Marbles can grow in size. *laugh*
Nah... seriously, I am thankful for lots of things that has been happening to me over the past 2 weeks, or rather ever since I posted that SOS post, people, events, God's planning...
Thank You....
This week, my schedule was to list on ebay my handmade accessories parts, like some of these...

.JPG)

I could only snap and list on ebay after my boys are asleep. Sometimes when the momentum picks up, I just can't stop till wee hours in the Morning, almost 3am; and I'm suppose to wake at 7am to bring my boys to school. THIS is my new routine for the past 2 weeks. You can imagine my eye bag and the darkness of my eye rings. *laugh*
I think the heavens have their eyes on me, they saw the effort and sincerity I have been putting in, in making this 1+ month a little easier to pass....Yes orders are coming in... Thank you... keep it rolling in please...
For parts like the above, I bought by the thousands or even millions for some of them. My jewelleries are handmade by Allan and I then, so these are MUST-HAVE.
Never did I expect myself to stop my retail biz and now clearing them on ebay. So now I have a huge problem!!!!!
I don't sell them in a single piece. I sell them in packs of whatever number for S$1.00 per pack. It is really tedious to count them manually, especially when the orders come in HUNDREDs of pieces. I was cock-eye by the time I'm done with an order.
For wholesalers, the RIGHT WAY to do it is to weigh one unit then multiple by the number and start pouring on the machine till it hits the correct weight.
We had intention to buy that machine almost 6 years ago. We found it in Thailand, but it was above our budget, S$300+. Singapore is worse S$500+.
Non of my ex-retail friends have the machine, so here I am trying my luck.... do you have a jewellery mini electronic weighing scale I could BORROW? (Like the picture shown on the left)
Or else, Angeline will be known as 'Cock-eye Angeline' by the time she cleared her whole storeroom of these items.... *laugh*

Watched = Possibility
Ok, I had mentioned before that (normally) when an item is 'Watched' on ebay, it might eventually be sold. Hmmmm....
Being watched = possibility of being sold, BUT its not GUARANTEED. *pout*
The previous item that was watched was NOT sold. *head down*
When I saw that the item was being watched, my eyes widened and lungs expanded.
Then when the bidding duration ended with no buyers, my face turned grey and heart sank.
This week, 4 items are being watched.
My brown eyes widened and small lungs expanded AGAIN.
These are the 4:
(AA-237)
925 Sterling Silver ring with (Pink) Mother of Pearl
One piece only.
size: 7.5 (US size) / 17 (asia size)
(NA-481)
925 Sterling Silver ring with Mother of Pearl
Only one piece.
size: 8 (US size) / 17 (asia size)
The top 2 items' bidding period are ending in 1 day while the bottom 2 items are ending in 3 days time.
(RG-0136)
925 Sterling Silver ring with Ornix
2 Pieces available
The bid price is for ONE piece
Size: 6.5 (US size) / 13 (asia size)
1 Piece.
Size: 7.5 (US size) / 16 (asia size)
1 Piece
(RG-154)
925 Sterling Silver ring with Ornix
One piece only.
Size: 5 (US size) / 10 (asia size)
You can see the whole list of stuff I'm clearing over here.
*Phew* School Holidays are finally over. I can get back to snap snap snap and post post post on my ebay again. Didn't get a chance to post anything over the last 9 days. Must put more batteries into this little bunny to get her to move faster now. *Grin*

Whoo-Hoo!
Allan clinched another deal 2 days ago. Let's hope within these 4 months, when the transaction is in progress, nothing (bad) happens and $ will be safe in our pocket in July.
Keep the $ momentum coming man....
I've got 2 bids for 2 stuff today. They were display items for the earrings and rings I was selling years ago. Because they are so 'seasoned', I had to clear them at such price.
Both items are ending in 3 days time.
Ohhhhh.....*fingers crossed* hope there will be another (higher) bidder for them...
This is a USED item.
There are 2 ways to hang your dangling earrings on this EARRING STAND:
You can either hang them on the strips or poke them into the holes provided.
Studs can be secured in the holes.
I set the starting bid price at S$4.00.
The bidder did not offer a cent more.
So the latest bid price is still at S$4.00.
To satisfy the curiosity of my overseas friends, you can use the currency conversion to check out how much is $4.00 in Singapore equivalent to in your own currency.

This RING TRAY is another USED item.
It can hold about 35 - 45 rings, depending on the size of the rings.
I have 4 PIECES of this item.
I set the starting bid price at S$2.00.
The bidder did not offer a cent more.
So the latest bid price is still at S$2.00.
The bid price is for ONE piece.

Sterling Silver ring with Mother of Pearl
I'll login to my ebay account twice a day.
In the morning and before I sleep.
What I love to see, other than someone bade for my item, is that its been watched.
I am not saying that its true, but it seems that people who watches a product are people who are really interested, yet unwilling to pay anything higher than the starting bid price. So unless no one bade for it, this watcher will bid at the starting price just minutes before the bidding duration is over.
Seriously it doesn't really bother me, so long as he/she eventually buys my stuff.
I've been posting stuff up on ebay regularly... you will never believe how much stuff I have accumulated over the 7 years in retail, and I have ONLY POSTED 10% of what I have up on that $ platform!
So there are still about 90% of stuff to snap photos on, edit and post....
Now, I wish this list will never end.... cos' they are opportunities to earn.... so why would I want it to end. *wink*
This is the newest item that is being WATCHED on my list now: -

Stuff for sale
A very wonderful Secondary School Friend of mine just setup a new blog called 4 Shopping Queens.
Yesterday was the virgin post. So do hop over every now and then to check for new stuff, if you consider yourself a shopping queen. *wink*

Some of you with sharp eyes might have noticed the announcement on the top of my sidebar. Another Secondary School Friend is selling tickets to T. Harv Eker's Millionaire Mind Intensive program. He is also the author of 'Secrets of the Millionaire Mind'. It was a life-changing program which Allan went last year. The change in him with regards to money is HUGE! So do hop over to my friend's site or email me to know more details.

As most of you know, I'm still clearing my 7 years of stocks after I ended my retail business 2 years ago.
I've been really lazy to post them on ebay. For the past 2 years, I've been clearing them through forums and consignments.
But with a new year 2009 (ok, I know we are into the 2nd month already), I shall NOT be lazy anymore!
I have so MANY THINGS TO CLEAR!!!!
From mirrors to mannequins to accessories to female tops and kids t-shirt.... too many to list.
So I'll be posting one item at a time on Every Saturday.
Or you can choose to browse through them (if you can't wait) on http://ebay.com.sg.
My seller id is 1568rich
I HAVE NOT FINISH LISTING ALL MY ITEMS on ebay yet.
Just posted 20 female tops today. They are the pride of my years in retail line. Nope. I didn't do it myself. But because of this product, Allan was interviewed and was on the newspaper... cos' they were one of a kind (THEN).
The shit thing about retail line is, when something new gets onto the press, followers begin to bring in the SAME ITEM and start a price war. *sigh*
This is just one of the many Designs.
The pictures on the female tops are hand-painted and the sequins are hand-sewn
They are MACHINE WASHABLE.
Every piece is unique in itself.
Even if there are 2 tops with the same picture, the color combination would be different. So you will never find another person wearing the exact same thing as you.
I've been selling these tops for years now.
I have total confidence in the quality of the paint.
The paint do not come off after multiple times of washing over the years.
I know, because I wear them too.
The sequins were sewn very strongly onto the tops.
In order to better protect the sequins, remember to TURN THE BLOUSE INSIDE OUT BEFORE you dump it into the washing machine.
Additional Notes: ~Some washing machines uses hot water. Please DO NOT use hot water to wash these tops
