My Very Own 21 Stress Free Tips
Tip 5 of 21
Know your limits. If you know that you are not able to achieve something, do not commit yourself to do it. If you know that you have trouble fulfilling something, then please, do yourself a favour, do not make that promise.
Reasonable goals. Realistic goals. Please....
For me. I go for satisfaction in achieving baby steps, and not challenging myself to stretch beyond what I can handle. There were a lot of offers for tuitioning during my Secondary school days. Yes, I needed the money for survival, but I only accepted 2 instead of 10!
I could really be rich if I had done that. But I did not. With two students, I had enough to keep me alive. With two students, I had time for my school work and had great results for my 'O' levels. I was a happy person. That satisfaction was manifold. *Smile*

Giant Shoppers exchange cards for Mahjong Set - 3
Oh Man! This is harder than I thought!
Blessed Mom has an extra 西, and the super generous lady is willing to give it to me.
But there is no use to get that card if 发 can't be found. *pout*
Anyone has an extra 发 and would like to exchange with me?
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about: Read this post.

Song Sharing Sunday - #63
Every Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?
Sway - Michael Buble
When marimba rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more
Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me
Other dancers may be on the floor
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have that magic technique
When we sway I go weak
I can hear the sounds of violins
Long before it begins
Make me thrill as only you know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now
Other dancers may be on the floor
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have that magic technique
When we sway I go weak
I can hear the sounds of violins
Long before it begins
Make me thrill as only you know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now
You know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now
(Mr Linky has been giving me problem. Hence I've decided to strip it completely)

During a recent music festival, four DJs entered the mixing contest. Each wore a number, either 1, 2, 3 or 4 and their decks were different colours. DJ Skinf Lint came first, and only one DJ wore the same number as the position he finished in. DJ Slam Dunk wore number 1. The DJ who wore number 2 had a red deck and DJ Jam Jar didn't have a yellow deck. The DJ who came last had a blue deck. DJ Park'n Ride beat DJ Slam Dunk. The DJ who wore number 1 had a green deck and the DJ who came second wore number 3. Can you determine who came where, which number they wore and the colour of their deck?

My Very Own 21 Stress Free Tips
Tip 4 of 21
What exactly is the problem? Have you really identified it correctly? Many times we believe we are stressed up because of external factors. Its never our fault. It is beyond my control. My friend, if you really sit down and think through, we have control over the stressful things that happened to us. First thing first, we have control over how we should feel and react to any situation. Thus, we do have control.
For example, a car crashed into yours. It was not your fault. You need to rush for an important meeting. Yet now you are stuck with an angry driver who kept screaming at you saying that it was your fault. You get stressed up. You quarrel with him. You are actually not solving the problem.
Because the identification of your problem was incorrect. If you have identified the source of your stress correctly, you would NOT be quarreling with him. Seriously, I learned this from Allan.
The real reason why you get stressed up is because you are running late for the meeting.
Not because of the accusation, because you know an angry man is a senseless man, so why bother to waste time talking to a senseless man.
Not because the car looks out of shape now, because you have insurance.
So all you need to do is call the person you need to meet straight away and say you cannot make it because of the car accident. Arrange for someone else to go for the meeting instead or reschedule the appointment.
Because once that is OFF your mind. You realise you are not in a rush anymore. Your stress level is lowered. You can start calling the police or call the tow-truck. Ignore the mad man and wait patiently for help to arrive ('cos now you have all the time in the world. *wink*).
That was exactly what Allan did. He told the guy who knocked onto his car saying "No need to say so much. No point blaming here and there. What's done is done already. So you want to go to my mechanic or yours?"
Allan diverted the angry man's focus on blaming TO a focus on moving forward from the situation.
Seriously, that is what Allan does best. Re-focusing. *Smile*

Song Sharing Sunday - #62
Every Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?
Four Letter Word - Kim Wilde
I tell you
it's hell
yeah
When love says good-bye it's a four letter word.
Because your heart knows when love goes
The feeling is bad
it's the pits (worst) of the world.
It's sad but true when nothing you can do bring it back.
Standing in the rain she starts to cry
Is it all a game she wonders why.
Why it had to start
why should it end and take her apart?
Because she shows it
she knows it
But what can she do
it's a four letter word.
Because it shakes you
it breaks you
And when it's the end
it's the worst thing you heard.
It's over now and nothing you can do can bring it back.
Calling out his name she starts to cry
Guys are all the same
she wants to die.
Hide away the tears no-one will see and no-one must hear.
But oh
how can the love that she has be profain?
And how can something that's so beautiful just Jeckyl and Hyde around?
It's too said!
I tell you
it's hell
yeah
...
Standing in the rain she starts to cry
Shouting out inane
for letter words.

Quiz - 18
During a recent Cluedo weekend, four games were played. In one game Miss Scarlet used the spanner, but not in the library. In another game the rope was used in the study, but not by Colonel Mustard. During one game the gun was used in the conservatory, whilst in another game Professor Plum was not to be found in the library. Colonel Mustard was never in the conservatory and Mrs White never used the rope. The lead piping may or may not have been used in the kitchen. Can you determine who used what and where?

American Idol Season 9 Top 12
Today the top 12 took on Rolling Stones! One of my favourites of favourites!
Many favourites tonight and in this order *wink*:
Siobhan Magnus (though I still find her character and her style of speaking a little weird)
Crystal Bowersox (looking at her, I just can't help but think of Lily Scott. And when she showed the momento from Lily, Wow! My heart missed a beat.)
Aaron Kelly
Paige Miles
Lee Dewyze
The others were...hhhmmm... forgettable I would say... and I'm going to say again, I'm still disappointed with Andrew Garcia, but still love him (as an artist) lots!

My Very Own 21 Stress Free Tips
Tip 3 of 21
You MUST shout it out. Feel that pressure. Dare to feel it. Do not try to hide it. Do not try to ignore it. Feel that burden. Feel it deep and SHOUT IT OUT..... literally.
Talking to someone is also considered shouting it out. Blogging and allowing the whole world to know is another form of shouting. Many of the issues that truly weigh our good spirits down are the issues which we think are shameful. Hence, we keep quiet and let that ill feeling grow inside us, turn sour and rot.
Not good, my friends. Nothing in this world is shameful, unless you label it as it is. So shout it out. Irregardless of which way you choose. You really have to get that awfulness off your chest by sharing.
I am NOT asking you to seek advice. I am just asking you to find a listening ear. 'Cos this tip 3 is NOT about solving the problem. Its about releasing the emotions. When the level of stress is lowered, the mind becomes clearer and hence higher chance of finding a solution to the problem.
Remember, in this world, NO one can help you solve your problem, except yourself. So balance that emotions and you'll find the solutions come naturally.
*Smile*

Every Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?
Thank You - Alanis Morissette Jazz
How about getting off of these antibiotics
How about stopping eating when I'm filled up
How about them transparent dangling carrots
How about that ever elusive kudo
Thank you India
Thank you terror
Thank you disillusionment
Thank you frailty
Thank you consequence
Thank you thank you silence
How about me not blaming you for everything
How about me enjoying the moment for once
How about how good it feels to finally forgive you
How about grieving it all one at a time
Thank you India
Thank you terror
Thank you disillusionment
Thank you frailty
Thank you consequence
Thank you thank you silence
The moment I let go of it was
The moment I got more than I could handle
The moment I jumped off of it was
The moment I touched down
How about no longer being masochistic
How about remembering your divinity
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out
How about not equating death with stopping
Thank you India
Thank you providence
Thank you disillusionment
Thank you nothingness
Thank you clarity
Thank you thank you silence
yeah yeah
ahh ohhh
ahhh ho oh
ahhh ho ohhhhhh
yeaahhhh yeahh

At the recent inter-departmental jam making contest, four lucky candidates took part to make the juiciest strawberry jam. The ages of the contestants were 14, 17, 20 and 22. As it happens the person who came last was the oldest, whereas Stuart was three years older than the person who came second. James was neither the oldest nor the youngest and Kev finished ahead of the 17 year old, but didn't win. John was also unlucky this time and didn't win either. Can you determine who finished where and how old they are?

My Very Own 21 Stress Free Tips
Tip 2 of 21
There is always a button for you to laugh. This may sound absurd. Imagine coming out from your boss office after a thunderous scolding. You think its hard to laugh? But if you can imagine his face like an orang utan in the zoo, maybe that might help a little.
In EVERY situation, there is a funny side of it. Learn to laugh it off. Train that laughing muscle. The stronger that laughing muscle, the easier for you to overcome an unhappy event.

My Very Own 21 Stress Free Tips
Some of my friends told me that its amazing how I could go through that kind of stress during my childhood and over money issues without going boncus. They do not see me going into depression, but only hear me 'complain' about the problem.
I simply shrugged my shoulders. Lately I took time and tried to find out the reasons as to why I can still laugh in those and CURRENT stressful times; listed them down and found out that there were 21 of them! Cool!
So here I am sharing my very own 21 Stress Free tips over the next 21 weeks, every Tuesday. Hope this list could be of some help to those who are feeling stressed lately.
*smile*
Tip 1 of 21:
When we live our lives without the need to please others, learning to say "No" becomes that much easier. We only have so much time for limited things in our lives. Ask yourself who and what are the important people and things in your life and make time for them. Time is precious and its your ONLY asset which no one else can snatch away, unless you allow them to. The ability to say "No" will radically change your life.
