Song Sharing Sunday - 102 [Do You Hear What I Hear]
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
Every Song reminds me of a person, an event, a place, a smell, a taste....a secret, do you have a song to share today?
Do You Hear What I Hear - Carrie Underwood
Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky shepard boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song
High above the tree
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepard boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace wall mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light

Stop Eating Sally Jackson Cheese!
FDA suggests that consumers should not eat Sally Jackson cheese due to risk of Escherichia coli O157:H7.
All Sally Jackson cheeses on the market should be avoided because the products were processed under conditions that create a significant risk of contamination, and because Sally Jackson cheeses have been identified as one possible source of several cases of Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7 infections. All Sally Jackson cheese is made from unpasteurized raw milk.
More details over here.

MasterChef US
I am totally addicted to the American cooking game show: MasterChef US!!!
*Super Thumbs Up*
Ever since I saw it for the first time, many weeks ago, I am totally fascinated by the contestants of Season 1 MasterChef US.
Today, in Singapore, through StarWorld channel, it showed the second last episode. Man oh man! I was Sooooooooo INTO the show that when the top 4 contestants to compete in the final episode of MasterChef US was announced, I could not control myself and kept clapping and cheering.
Really dislike the arrogant Sharone!
I am so glad that the humble youngest contestant, 22 year old student, Whitney shut his mouth once and for all with her perfect soufflé!
Whoo hoo!
I am so addicted to the show that I could not wait for the final episode of MasterChef US to come next week on StarWorld. So I did a search to see if there is news on the winner of the first ever MasterChef US.
To my surprise, the show has already ended in September 2010!!!
Oh Slow Singapore!!!!
And my favourite contestant WON!!!!
Whitney Miller!!!
Yippee!
Even though she dropped her food!
Man oh Man!!!
And if you had noticed, the top two finalists have the same last name!
So I guess if you want your kids to have that cooking talent, marry the Miller family!
*giggle*
Now I can't wait for MasterChef US season 2 to start!
*Huge Laugh*

McCormick & Company Recalls Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter
Do you have a pack of this?
November 29, 2010 - McCormick & Company, Incorporated (NYSE:MKC) has announced a voluntary recall of Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter, 10 OZ, with UPC Code 4123470111 and “BEST BY” date of NOV 17 11 AH. A very limited number of packages of Golden Dipt® All-Purpose Batter with this date code contain an undeclared egg ingredient. People who have an allergy to egg run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recall is isolated to one geographical region of the US. The Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter packages were distributed to grocery stores in the southeastern United States beginning on January 22, 2010. The affected product is packaged in 10 OZ cartons, and the date code is found printed in white ink on the bottom of the carton.
The recall was initiated after the discovery of a packaging error that resulted in a pouch of funnel cake batter (which contains an egg ingredient) being packaged in the Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter package. The ingredient statement on the package does not list egg as an ingredient.
The “BEST BY” date of NOV 17 11AH is the only date code affected by the recall. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date and no other McCormick products are involved in this recall.
All grocery outlets that sell Golden Dipt® Fry Easy All-Purpose Batter product are being notified to remove the affected product (UPC Code 4123470111 and date code BEST BY NOV 17 11AH) from their shelves immediately. Consumers do not need to return the product to the store where it was purchased. This recall is being made with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration. The Company is also issuing an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.

Misconstrue - a dangerous word
I have never heard of this word till few months ago...
Just in case you were like me, who did not know the meaning of 'Misconstrue' back then, it means
To me, this is a Dangerous word.
Because of this word, one can land himself/herself in danger.
Because of this word, one can jump into something that he/she had never intended to.
Because of this word, friendship fails.
Because of this word, business partners fall apart.
Because of this word, legal letters were sent.
Because of this word, marriages end up with divorce.
Because of this word, siblings fight.
Because of this word, plans to sabotage were drafted.
Because of this word, revengeful ideas run wild.
Never never fall into this dangerous trap.
ALWAYS repeat what you hear.
ALWAYS clarify.
ALWAYS double confirm.
ALWAYS put it in writing, for business related issues.
ALWAYS check out the facts.
ALWAYS look at the full picture, not just a piece of the puzzle.
ALWAYS see things from the other's point of view.
I have seen so many fell into this trap and are still falling....
just like someone whom I 'counselled' today...
its heartbreaking to know how this dangerous word 'Misconstrue' can land someone in deep shit.
*hugs*
~ a gentle reminder to myself and all....

Need a Health Check
I think the severity of the pain has come to the point whereby I MUST go get a decent health check instead of going to a clinic for prescription only.
I have been having pain on the left side, near my chest area, under the armpit.
It started off as dull...
Took several deep breaths and the dull pain was gone...
Few days later, it came back.
then...
few hours later...
then now, the pain has gone from OCCASIONAL to THERE ALL THE TIME!
Today,
there are occasional sudden sharp pain on top of the consistent dull pain.
I have asked a medical friend and he said there are 3 possibilities:
I thought it might be related to the heart because my dad's side of the family have heart problems and my dad died of cardiac arrest.
So now, my horizon has widened...
Not going to think too much into it, tomorrow will be going for the full body check up early in the morning, so as to get my mind to rest and not have wild thoughts racing all over the place.....
*Fingers and Toes crossed*

iPad could not turn on!!!
With all the hype over Apple products ever since iPod came out many many years ago, I have chosen to sit back and watch all the tidal waves go by and not be surfing on it....
TILL....
Allan bought me an iPad for my birthday, September this year.
For someone who is not very adaptable to changes with technology, the iPad has proven to be a fantastic gadget for the simplest minded. The best part about iPad is, it grows with the user's intelligence. The better the user is at it, the more sophisticated your iPad can become; because everything is under your control.
The type of Apps you choose to install would determine the kind of user you are. If you are a gamer, like my kids, you will be downloading lots of games EVERY DAY! *faint*
For someone more down to earth like me, I am just intrigued with the speed and versatility of the gadget. All it takes is ONE SECOND and I can access ALL MY EMAILS which comes in hundreds every single day, my blog, my notes, my calendar of events.... so on and so forth.
I wanted to update my iPad to the latest version, version 4.2.1.
I connected my iPad to my PC as I usually would,
signed in to iTunes,
clicked Update and BANG!
I ejected the iPad.
Tried to activate it.
It just would not work!!!!
Damn!
Searched through the internet for solutions.
Tried them all!
But still didn't work!
So after my 'money' appointment in the afternoon, I went down to the Apple Service Centre at Wheelock Place, second level, to seek help from Apple .
I must say that it is THE BEST SERVICE centre I have ever been to!
Tried Starhub, Acer, Nokia, Sony and a few others which I don't even bother to remember.
The service staff are often grouchy or rude.
BUT APPLE service staff are so professional and friendly.
THIS IS NOT A PAID BLOG POST!
Just in case you are thinking that Apple paid me to do this....
*wink*
What's best is the problem was solved in the fastest time possible!
Though the wait for my turn was a good 30mins, but hey, I get to play the games on the demo iPad sets beside the service centre while waiting, so I was entertained while I wait.
Nice! *smile*
After handing my iPad over the counter, the staff came out with a 'Fully Cured' iPad in less than 10mins!
Superb! *double smile*
My first experience with Apple product was already an exciting adventure and now, with such great support, I am really geared towards having Apple products....
Before I forget,
I want to take this opportunity to say "Thank you Dearie for the Big Birthday Surprise during September!"
*muack*
Am I a lucky person? Have you gone to Singapore Apple Service Centre before? Was your experience as good as mine?

Skin Abrasion is so painful! Ouch!!!!
But definitely better....
For those of you who does not know what I am talking about, you might want to read how this Kids Amaze @ Safra Jurong gave this first visit gift to me in this post "Kidz Amaze - Would I Recommend?"
I had 6 pieces of skin sliced off me. But I only took photos of the most painful 3 areas:
My MIL called me 'Lan-Fan'.
Which meant 'Playful' in Cantonese.
Well, I'm a big kid alright?! Allan and I were the ONLY adults who were running up and down with the kids and sharing every of their laughter (and tears) with them. Such experience is worth it for sure.... but hey, if you have read my blog post "Kidz Amaze - Would I Recommend?", the injuries were not caused by my playfulness alright.... *pout*
What Luck!
*OUCH!*
Will I get scars from this Skin Abrasion?

YouTube Upload Slow - Mystery SOLVED!
If you are a follower of my blogs, especially my parenting blog : All About Your Child, its easy to know that I love to flim the kiddos in action and upload them on YouTube.
Have been doing that for years now.
But for the past months, uploading the videos taken from my camera phone seemed to take ages!
The worst experience I had was uploading a 3 mins long file for 7hours!!!!
And at the end of the 7 hours, guess what did it say?!
"Upload Error."
It was so unnerving that I decided to stop uploading videos for months!
Until today.....
Yes,
TODAY!!!
I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION!
As usual.... my video was uploading at Snail Speed...
I decided to scroll down and look for 'help' anywhere...
but before I could reach the bottom, I read this SUPER LINE:
"Upload problems? Try the basic uploader (works on older computers and web browsers)."
And so I clicked on 'basic uploader'.
Ta-Daa!
And the uploading speed was back to good-old-days!
*wink*
Even though its a tight slap on my face to remind me that my computer is in the 'older computers' category, its definitely time for an upgrade, but hey, at least I can still upload my videos on YouTube.
*tongue in cheek*
Did you face this problem too?
Hope this helps....

Baha Men - Who Let The Dogs Out
Who let the dogs out
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
(woof, woof, woof, woof)
When the party was nice, the party was jumpin' (Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo)
And everybody havin' a ball (Hah, ho, Yippie Yi Yo)
I tell the fellas "start the name callin'" (Yippie Yi Yo)
And the girls report to the call
The poor dog show down
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
I see ya' little speed boat head up our coast
She really want to skip town
Get back off me, beast off me
Get back you flea infested monger
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
Who let the dogs out (woof, woof, woof, woof)
I'm gonna tell {Hey, Yippie, Yi, Yo}
To any girls calling them canine {Yippie, Yi, Yo}
Tell the dummy "Hey Man, It's part of the Party!" {Yippie Yi, Yo}
You fetch a women in front and her mans behind {Yippie, Yi, Yo}

I gotta get my girl I got my myind on
Do you see the rays comin' from my eye
What could you be friend
That Benji man that's breakin' them down?
Me and My white short shorts
And I can't seek a lot, any canine will do
I'm figurin' that's why they call me faithful
'Cause I'm the man of the land

46days in New Zealand with NZD7,200?
Hey friends, I had just downloaded a copy of this amazing travel guide!!
http://bit.ly/9RyVnn
This guide was published by my friend Jenhuei who has been traveling for years! Last year July, Jenhuei and his wife FIRED THEIR BOSS and quit their day jobs and went all out for 2 months adventure in New Zealand!!
Now they have returned to their hometown Singapore and getting ready for the next trip. But before they take off for the next great voyage, they have authored a great guide that revealed a lot of useful information and their experience while traveling in New Zealand for 46 days!!
I managed to grab a copy and have a look at it… Guess what? I was totally blown away by this awesome guide! Honestly to tell you, I have never seen such a detailed guide with even daily expenses revealed! The guide fully covered the essential places to visit in New Zealand. You can save bunch of time on research and planning. This guide allows you to access to all the information that you need in one place!
http://bit.ly/9RyVnn
This 173 pages guide not only revealed those essential and important places of interest, but also those 'secret' places that even New Zealanders may not know! On top of that, it comes with all the map and traveling path that has been optimized to enjoy the most while spend the least!!
I heard that they may depart anytime soon and the guide may be removed from the website anytime from now. How can you miss out such a great guide that may open your eye? Take a look now at:

BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE ENOUGH
"BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE ENOUGH"
~ T. Harv Eker
If you believe that you're "not enough," you'll validate that belief and create the reality that you don't have enough.
But if you believe that you're more than enough, you'll create more than enough in every part of your life.

What/Who Am I Going To Lose This Time?
I had a very terrible nightmare.
Nothing monster and no aliens.
It was a change of status and a tooth lost.
I was forced to sign the divorce agreement and marry someone who has been carrying a torch for me for 20 years. *scream*
This is not the first time I dreamed that I lost a tooth.
I have a book that interprets dreams.
It says that losing a tooth in dreams means you are going to lose something/someone very precious to you.
The first time, I lost my granny.
The second time, I lost my dad.
The third time, I lost my pager.
The fourth time, my boyfriend left me.
And this is the fifth time.......
and I'm still not recovering as I should....
what's wrong with my health?
recovery journey has become a snail race....
....................
I am trying not to conclude anything here....
I am trying to focus on other things and not on this...
let it pass...
let it pass quick.....

Po Chai Pills - 保濟丸 is banned?
Then it made me think about my weekend suffering. I had flu on Saturday morning and my tummy was not performing as it should. So I popped in a bottle of Po Chai Pills - 保濟丸 hoping to get rid of the uncomfort in the mid area.
It did not.
Instead, my liver area started to hurt like before (when I was admitted to hospital for 13 days last year). I got scared. 'Cos we were supposed to celebrate my MIL's birthday on Sunday. I hanged on till midnight, I told Allan I needed to visit the clinic. So we went down to the nearby 24hour clinic and paid the super high after-midnight charge of $80+ just for consultation.
Doctor told me it was food poisoning, but could not pinpoint to what it was as I did not eat anything unusual the day before. So could it really have been Po Chai Pills - 保濟丸? I really do not know. And as I recall further to my scary episode last year, I remembered taking Po Chai Pills - 保濟丸 as well.
Could it be pure coincidence? I do not know. But one thing for sure, I am going to steer away from that little bottle for a long time, just threw away the remainders this morning after reading this email from my 2nd SIL: -
"Bummer! Work good when you have the runs.
Pls pass this info to Chinese comunities overseas esp in N. America,Europe, Australia , SE Asia (eg Indonesia ) where Po Chai pills are household over-the-counter all purpose "medicine", used to be in family medicine cabinets. Well meaning moms, grandmothers give these to kids studying abroad.
Hong Kong Pulls Po Chai Pills because of Health Risks, Morning Post Says
2010-03-25 01:49:27.289 GMT By Frederik Balfour
March 25 (Bloomberg) - Hong Kong 's Department of Health has instructed traditional Chinese medicine maker Li Chung Shing Tong (Holdings) to recall Po Chai pills after they were found to contain banned substances in Singapore , the South China Morning Post said.
The pills, popular among sufferers from digestion problems, were found to contain phenolphthalein and sibutramine, substances that can lead to serious side effects, according to a department spokesman, the newspaper said.
"Po Chai" (see images below) have been banned in Singapore. They are also being recalled in Hong Kong .
Apart from the two dangerous chemicals (phenolphthalein and sibutramine) found by the Singapore Govt., mercury is another component used in the manufacture of the pills !
Mercury can cause serious brain damage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minamata_disease
The following is prevalent in Malaysia and Spore.
At shop malls, do not drink the drink sold from the Chinese golden drums, those little shop with rich-looking urns selling those "anti-heaty" tea and tea & herbal-steamed eggs.
As well, by roadsides everywhere, where the guy asks if you would like to kar liew (add powder)
THAT POTENT ANTI-HEATINESS WORKS, BECAUSE IT'S LACED WITH STEROID POWDER.
Pass this message to friends and family.
Consume it often, and your bone marrow will go porous and weak.
My friend's wife, in Pudu, is now with one leg shorter after hip-joint reolacement. She is 40-over years, and drank jln.Pasar's "kar liew" for years."

Can you really Forgive the one you Hate?
Can you really forgive the one you hate?
Can you really free yourself from the hatred?
Can you really experience the freedom that forgiveness brings?
To me,
it is NOT about we wish to forgive,
it is NOT about we hope to forgive,
it is NOT about we want to forgive,
it is NOT about we need to forgive,
but
it is about are you WILLING to forgive?......
Can you see yourself doing this to the one you HATE?!
When deep injury is done to us,
we never recover until we forgive...
Forgiveness does not change the past,
but it does enlarge the future.

I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song - Jim Croce
Well, I know it's kind of late
I hope I didn't wake you
But what I got to say can't wait
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
Yeah, I know it's kind of strange
But every time I'm near you
I just run out of things to say
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
'Cause Every time the time was right
All the words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song
Yeah, I know it's kind of late
I hope I didn't wake you
But there's something that I just got to say
I know you'd understand
'Cause every time I tried to tell you
The words just came out wrong
So I'll have to say I love you in a song

F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010
Alright, when the big boys are on the road, the usual cars in Singapore would have to step aside. F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 is something you must take note of, if you are going to that area.
I think this year's F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 is very confusing. There are certain roads that are opened during peak hours and certain roads remain closed. *scratch head*
Anyway to me, I would rather avoid the entire area than to get myself stuck. There are also carparks around the area, which are going to be inaccessible to the public during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010. So forget about driving, Take Public Transport during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010.
The F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010 started on the 18th of September 2010 and will be fully back to normal after 29th September 2010. Why so long? Well, the busy workers have to do the set up and the tear down of the seats and massive lightings, etc.
The actual event is from 24th to 26th September 2010. Get your ear plugged up and get going, if you are a crazy fan of those noisy 4-wheeled beauties.
No matter what, PLEASE take Public Transport!! There are taxis, buses and trains. Ain't that good enough?
On Saturday, Esplanade Drive and Nicoll Highway will be opened from 5 am to 9.30am. Many ERP gantries will be down during these times. Yippee!!! *laugh* Well, simply because the gantries might interfere with the video transmission that is going on during the race.
Oh motorists, for you OWN safety and others too, please do not to stop along the affected roads during this F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010, be cooperative to the traffic advisory signboards, obey the directions given by Traffic Police officers and the auxiliary that are on duty.
If you take Public Transport, there will be a free bridgeing bus service connecting City Hall and Bugis MRT stations to the Marina Centre area. Public bus services travelling through the Padang and Marina Centre area will be diverted. All pedestrian underpasses as well as existing overhead bridges in the area will remain open.
All MRT services will run until 1am from Friday, 24th September 2010 to Sunday, 26th September 2010.
If you are taking taxi, you can ask the taxi driver to go into Marina Centre area to pick up and drop off at the taxi stands. If you drive, please plan your journey in advance. Please refer to the maps on the LTA website: at www.lta.gov.sg.
Hope you would not be too affected by the F1 Road Closure in Singapore 2010.

Happy Birthday To Me 2010
Happy Birthday To Me!!!
This year has to be the year of breaking records man!I spent 1 hour replying to all the well wishes on Facebook, sms, emails, MSN chats, Skype....
In total 151 Happy Birthday wishes! Incredible!
The wishes kept flowing in like an endless river!
As I'm typing this down, my phone is still going 'Kaching Kaching Kaching' (my sms ringtone)
Never felt so loved in my life before!
Thank you everyone!!!
On Birthday eve, I had my usual gathering with my closest female group. Without fail we would meet up at every birthday of ours. We are so close we had a testimony of our telepathy yesterday, just look at the Colour of our Tops!
NONE OF US PLANNED for it, yet ALL OF US WORE BLACK AT THE SAME TIME! *laugh*
Simply Amazing! The only let down was our photo was blur and we didn't notice when the manager of the restaurant passed it back to us. *sigh*
This year is Extra special because I got really close to a group of very intelligent and humorous group! They are my close friends in my Internet Marketing journey. Emily's birthday is just 4 days away from mine, so they celebrated our birthdays together last Saturday.
Whenever we are together, you bet we cannot keep the volume down! *laugh* We are so noisy that we were once 'sternly warned' by the cafe. So now, our meetings are held at one of our houses, instead of the public.
We have so much to talk about that we usually ended up ending our meeting near or passed midnight! *jaws dropped*

So what happened at home?
I had my usual cake cutting ceremony at 12 midnight with my wonderful 4 family members. At night, the 5 of us head down to be guinea pigs at Sakura. Check out the fun we had over at my Parenting Blog: "All About Your Child" My Dearie gave me 33 kisses at one go to celebrate my 33 years of amazing journey on earth...
And while I was napping
- I Love You, Baby
- Happy Birthday to You
- and our Wedding song "I Do (Cherish You)" by 98degree
First time ever he is so romantic!
My man is different now.
Yippee!!!2010 is Definitely My Most Amazing Birthday Yet~!
