Seeing Red

Allan had a car accident this afternoon.
Luckily the other driver admitted that it was his fault without any argument.
The driver paid for Allan's car damages as well as rental fee for a replacement car for 2 days.
No one was injured.

My greatest fear came true when Allan drove home a RED Toyota Corolla 1.6 litres.

RED is a definite no-no for Allan.
Be it car, be it shirt, be it whatever that is used by him.... RED is the forbidden colour.
This has been warned by 3 FengShui Masters and I had witnessed enough 'mishaps' to believe its true.

Allan's very first car was red and the number of fines we received and the number of accidents which happened during that short 2+ years of ownership was absolutely Outrageous!
There were so many flare ups whenever we were in the red car. Have you ever been screamed at in a car before??? No? Let me tell you, it feels as if your ear drum would explode any moment! That's how it feels! No, he did not quarrel with me, a phone call came and he could become so agitated, he would raise his voice when he complained about the caller to me.

Today it happened again.

Nothing extra-ordinary happened. Nothing terrible happened at all. But Allan started to lose his temper after the kids insisted on taking a drive in the 'new' car; which he had previously willingly agreed to.

When we first hopped in, everything was chirpy and fun, 'cos its a much bigger car as compared to ours.

We drove to one of our boys' favourite eating place for dinner. As usual, the kids' eating pace was slower than us. So we started to chat. The boys interrupted as usual with all sorts of requests. THIS IS NORMAL!!! But not Allan's reaction. He snapped!

Started to raise his voice in that small eatery.

Then he began to frown at (my) a topic which was meant to be joyous.

We left the place with eyes staring. Then for no good reason, he decided to cancel an appointment with his friend, whom we were supposed to meet after dinner.

When we were back to our multi-storey carpark, a driver drove against the traffic in order to beat Allan in 'taking' the prime parking lot. Allan was way over the top. He high beamed the driver. The driver was extremely pissed. Got out of the car and started to quarrel with Allan.

(I do not want to go into the details of the quarrel. That is not my purpose of this post.)

When we reached home Allan continued his outburst of unexplainable anger on Binbin. Allan did it so intensely (NO. HE DID NOT LAY HIS HANDS ON HIM. [just scolding]) that he suddenly realised he is no longer himself. He had become a slave to his anger, all over again.

"AAAHHHHhhhh... what's WRONG with me tonight!!!???!!!

Though such a sight had not been seen for more than 6 years now, I still remember how to handle it. > Shut Up and Stay Away from the Volcano. But the poor kids were so badly affected, they kept close to me for the rest of the night till Allan switched on the games on Facebook. *eyes rolled*

Before I was married to him, I have warned him: "The only thing that will make me leave you, is your uncontrollable anger."

In the past, before we know anything about FengShui, he was a very 'red' guy. After we knew about how red can add to his already-very-fiery Ba-Zi, all reds were gone.

Some call this superstition. I call this 'no harm avoiding'.

I wish time can past as fast as a wink of the eye. I can't wait for him to return back the RED car to the car rental company. *Deep Sigh*

Thank God that no one was hurt in the accident.

Why did he chose a red car if he knows thats a forbidden colour for him??

think men are alike..my hubby sometimes will turn himself into a volcano and we had all know well to stayed away from him..even the kids know when the volcano is erupting..

So he will get back his car in 2 days time?? well, lets hope time zoom pass fast..or ask him to stay at home and play facebook la..maybe then, he can beat me to the top *wink* (just kidding.)

Blessed mum,

Great question! He was not given a choice at all. That was the ONLY car available for rental at that moment. *faint*
