When you visit a blog, that blogger visits back.
When you don't, that blogger doesn't too.
Some call this "li-shang-wang-lai" (in Chinese).
In other words, its call "returning the kindness".
Its true, but its sad too.
That's how the blogosphere works, I think....
Unless I am Extremely popular or when my site gives freebies away...
Well, that's what I observed...
Just like this school holiday, when I am so busy with Keatkeat's graduation and getting him ready for new school life (there are SO MANY THINGS to prepare! My oh My!), I hardly had time to blog.
And EVERY YEAR during this time, Allan and I will be busy helping my BIL to deliver his cards, diaries, calendars... and hence the MORE I do NOT have time to blog hop to my friends' blogs.

In fact, its pretty much the same as last year. During November and December, my (returning) blog visitors drop drastically, needless to say the number of comments.
Yet, it is also this time of the year, I know who are the ones who truly love my blog(S), irregardless if I had the time to hop over to theirs.
So I want to take this opportunity to say Thank You to those of you who have been faithfully coming over, whether comment or not, I know you came, cos' I saw your footprints.... *wink*

i guess that's the rule of following blog in many communities. i find it 'stressful' to follow back when someone drop me a comment indicating they are following as it indicated they expect me to follow back too. too many things on hand and the following aimlessly trend is normally the last thing I have in my mind. I might sound bad but we do have the choice to follow which blog thats to our liking ya?? my understanding of following is to really be a regular reader/commenter no matter whether the other party follow back or not ya?

You mentioned you were busy with stuff during these two months, could it be that regular readers of yours are busy with children starting school and going on holidays too?
Like...me :) I always read blogs on a daily basis but these two months had been preparing for trips, then making photobooks, blogging on my own site that I don't have time to read other blogs. It's very rare to see my google reader clogging up! Cos I always clear all readings in a day. But it happened.
Like now. I only just read your post in Google Reader, new post (4).
IMO, I do not think it's really a case of "I read your blog, you read mine." If people likes your blog, they will read it regardless whether they often comment. I do read, i just seldom comment. ^^
also are the stats able to keep track for subscriber? cos I always read on the reader, the full post instead of coming to yout blogsite itself. I think I should come and help you earn a bit too.

So I don't agree. :) that's my answer. Cos I know from my blog that even though I don't visit many others yet people does read my blog. It is not extremely popular too nor do I publicise widely anywhere. Non of my relatives nor schoolmates knows I have a blog too :)

I suppose the "visiting" is returned usually because we also want to know what's happening on your side of the world, but as with friends, even, when we are busy, we just can't meet as often.
I agree with Blessed Mum. I too blog more for my kids than anything else.
But I've also been slacking...
